Hey man I've been looking to switch from amps and pedals to rack effects. I want the axe fx but that's outta my pocket ha. What all do you suggest to get with the HD Pro in order to play live? I know a power amp and either a monitor or cab but any suggestions? And do I really need an monitor??

out of those 2 i think i would go with the carvin cuz its raw tube power....and the velocity is solid state. but i had the velocity 100 and it sounded great. so im sure the 300 would sound even better.

There seems to be a fair amount of fizz or shhhhhh sound in the distortion.Does it sound this way live or is it the video?The tone is sick but i cant stand a distorted tone with the shhhhhhhhhh undertone.Do you have alot of problems with fizzy tone in this unit? Im seriously thinking of purchasing this unit since Axe fx is kinda pricey.

I posted some of my djent tones for the POD HD Pro on the line-6 tone exchange page. My favorite one is called RightENGL. alloutwar, will you give me some pointers on how to make my sound like yours?

@subd3 i played it through my live rig, it needs a little bit more tweaking. I'll work on it then. but it wasn't a bad patch to start out. just very gain heavy and in my opinion the tube compressor at the end of the chain was taking away from the clarity of the tone. but it was def. a good concept. and with a little tweaking it'll be a very usable tone.

hey man I have a couple questions about the line 6 pro, currently im thinking of building a rig around it for both live/recording purposes. naturally I'd prefer axe fx with a quality tube power amp, but budget doesnt allow me. Im just curious, how the line 6 fairs at high volumes with an actual guitar cab. I'm just worried about the digital sounding tone. I love the clarity but I'm skill skeptically of the authenticity. I know it takes tweaking. My tone is more half djenty but deeper for HXC

NO WAY. i thought the hi gain models of the hd aren´t even that good. i´ve read many times the x3 was better for distortion but this sounds incredible. finally a good demo of the hd.

someone has been listening to periphery i see....nice background! but in all relevance, this tone is sick. it has the djent aspect but without totally blowing out one's ears with high end. i was thinking about buying this unit in the near future for my bands recordings. would you suggest this as a good live and recording unit?
