Interesting film. We need more. These guys remind me so much about my older bro and his life. It sadly becomes burden on the rest of the family. Full Tongan here and I study at UNSW in Crim/Law. Still dont know how I became different from my bro lol. Its not only P.I guys.The Lebs, Turks, Vietnamese all fall into this category. The media (news media) plays a massive role in shaping peoples perception and agenda on certain ethnic groups.This is usually reflected in the Criminal Justice System.

If we know who we are...we then know what direction we are going and we then identify how we can get there...theres is no doubt in my mind that where there is lack of identity there is also lack of self esteem...Knowing who you are is crucial

This film could very well be a great platform for discussion with the PI-Poly Youth I am working with atm. My purpose is to raise awareness amongst PI Youth of the great heritsage in which they descend and to increase cultural pride and identity within PI-Poly kids living in a forreign land. I am happy to make contact with PI workers or volunteers happy to support the project and raise a positive flag for the PI communities that reflect all of the positive traits as equally.

Im a community officer from mt druitt and currently working with at risk kids, this is very true and it speaks loud!! Very impressed cause islanders are very researved people (shy, dont talk much, shame,) but they are also people who come from loving familys, respect, Church goers, Fulled with culture and warriorship, this docco shows the life out side of this zones good stuff..
