But...why would you have gambled $100 hands for 4 hours? This suite is only $299/night (I checked on their website)...and it's on the back of the hotel, not the front/lake view, which would be $399/night...I think it would have been easier to just pay the going rate...but that's just me...
@Mider999 I hate the MGM it's too freaking big. It takes 15 minutes to walk from the elevators to the doors too the strip. That and those green lights are annoying as heck. The only reasons I'd consider staying in at the MGM are the suites that have the balconies they are the end of the towers.
@Mider999 The Bellagio isn't a hotel for people on budgets or looking for deals. So be my guest stay at the MGM I'll continue to stay at the Bellagio. I like the hotel and I like the fact that use what's it 500 count thread sheets? and down pillows. The rooms are much more relaxing and comfortable. If you want luxury you're going to pay for it it doesn't matter where you go.
@Mider999 I used to be like that too but too me it's worth it. I'm not rich I'm just a a single person with no dependents and no debt. So spending a bit more on a hotel room isn't that big of a deal to me. Just remember you get what you pay for (most the time).
@NYUCanadian I think he's lying that or it's an old video.I've stayed there and at other MGM Mirage casinos and had rooms comped. They didn't put any strings on it like "I have to gamble $100 a hand on black jack for 4 hours" (I think that's BS). It was entirely free minus tips and what not. But I'd spend a lot of time in the Casino. I also spend a lot of money when I go VIP packages to their clubs and different things like that.
@annepavao Who cares? How much time do you spend in the room anyways and if you are in the room? you're really going to sit there and look out the window? You can also get free lake view rooms upgrades (I managed it for my 21st birthday).
How do you know its all comp? Did they say that when they gave you the room? Or was it like they didn't take a credit card so they had no way of charging you for it? Thanks
As I replied above to Slvr... YES, it's all free. YES, they even told me that at check-in... BUT it's only free because of the gambling. If you gamble high stakes, ask the "Casino Host" what he can do for you... free suites are no problem. It's called an "FRB Comp"... that's free Food, Room and Beverage.
@raversman There are different ways to get a comped room but they all come from the Casino. Basically they have a tier system the more you gamble while there the more you are offered. Getting free rooms is not easy you'll really need to gamble at least with $1000 to even have a chance at getting the room for free. The other way you get it is if you win a lot of money (over $150 thousand dollars) or lose a lot.
So did you have to pay for the stuff in the fridge and by the TV, when you ate/drank it? Or was it really COMPLIMENTARY? Thinking about staying there in June. Thanks.
@UncleNewbie I've gotten comped rooms before and didn't have any strings attached to it like that. The room was entirely free. But I spend a lot of money when I've gone (not just gambling) I get VIP packages to clubs and what not.

It was all comp, even the suite itself. Of course, the catch was that I had to play 4 hours of blackjack betting $100.00 or more per hand!
