das ist ein kampflied des italienischen befreiungskrieges gewesen, solche lieder sind dazu da um sich gegenseitig mut zu machen und in hinblick auf den (immernoch bestehenden....) nord-süd-konflikt, hat man natürlich versucht, sich auf die gemeinsame (stolze) vergangenheit roms zu beziehen...um eben nach jahrhunderten unterschiedlicher besatzung wieder einen gemeinsamen nenner zu finden !
