Reloading is when you take brass (not steel,steel isnt reloadable) ammo you fired and make it so it can shoot again,basicly recycling your brass ammo over and over again so you dont have to buy new ammo(expensive).

never seen a drum mag live (and never gonna use prolly :/ as the army only uses box mags) but the chinese mechanism seems sound as you can release the spring tension without emptying your mag, and thus the spring won't be worn under prolonged tension. :P dunno why that kind of mags aren't ubiquitous in military use, as they seem to be quite compact as well and you can store rounds in them instead of ammo boxes, and they're ready to be shot in a matter of seconds..

To all the folks here who think these magazines should be banned...

I own an AK equipped with one of these magazines. If I were to, say... develop a brain tumor and go apeshit, I suppose I could possibly mow down a large number of people.

OR, I could build an ammonium nitrate fertilizer car bomb and kill an even LARGER number of people (like Timothy McVeigh did in 1995 in Oklahoma City.) Ammonium nitrate fertilizer is made primarily from bird shit.

Did you read the manual about the magazine? You press the button in the center to release the spring so you don't have to hold it with tension when loading. Once loaded, you wind it 7 revolutions and it is ready to go.
