  • I use rubber bands at the ends of my plats so they won't unravel but I've never had an issue with breakage (Like many people claim will happen). Sometimes I'll see a couple of strands wrapped around one of the rubber bands but usually there is no hair on it. But, I might just stop doing that anyways. I'm just so paranoid when it comes to my hair that I may switch up the rubber bands for those ouchless goodie pony tail holders.

  • You have sooooooo much patience!!!!!

  • Hey sir! Would you consider doing a flat ironing tutorial? You're awesome!!!!!!!

  • your styles are the bomb.com

  • i was wondering what was goin on witcho face, lol. u're still cute tho. excellent job as always, kind sir!

  • Great advice - I use the plastic looking rubber bands from Goodie - I will try the oil coating

  • I liked this tutorial...I prefer to use rubberbands over bobby pins. The new coated rubberbands do not take Your hair off like the uncoated dull ones...

  • Thanks for this video, great attention to detail.

  • Thanks for the tip!

  • good. I'm a stickler for trying to retain the integrity of those inexpensive bands for reuse...silly me. Thanks. Your flats look fabulous.

  • very informative! I thought rubber bands were the DEVIL lol

  • I do the sameee thing! Great Vid ^_^

  • Aha! So when your flat twists are laying down all neat-like and impressive it's because you put rubber bands on them?

In other words, do you always use rubber bands on the ends of your flat twists?

  • @TheSupasweet Thats part of the reason, its mostly because I flat twist very tightly, but the rubberbands keep the flat twists tight and keep them from loosing and swelling up if I didn't use rubberbands.

  • @AfrikanHairGod So that's a yes- you always use them? or a no, i just twist tightly?

  • @TheSupasweet I apologize, it was 1am when I replied... Yes I always use rubberbands to secure my flat twists as I am not good with nor do I like using pins.

  • @AfrikanHairGod No need to apologize! Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

  • helpful vid. thanks.
