Her voice comes from her heart which not many people possess. Singing is not about singing your loudest or singing powerful all the time, it's about inspiring people with your words, telling the story to the audience which is most important. A lot of people who say she's a weak singer are ignorant, narrow minded, not in touch with reality!

@Eternalux To me, singing is about versatility, being able to change it up.Not about who sings the loudest or out sings someone else, but to inspire someone, move someone with their voice is what i call a powerful voice. People don't know that, because they don't understand music, or the musicality behind singing. In my opinion, the most powerful voices move people. She certainly moved me with her voice.

ahh people always wanna make lifeless comparisons.. all artists draw influences from other artists. Aaliyah had an amazing style but she was also a woman of the time, baggy was in-style in the 90's.. Ciara is also a dancer and she wears a lot of baggy clothes in her videos. So what if she did copy some of Aaliyah's style-- it really doesn't matter cuz Aaliyah was unique, gifted and a brilliant artist.. cant we all just enjy this video? R.I.P Angel

just because someone has a low range does not mean they can't sing...Not everyone can hit high notes and not everyone can hit low notes and sometimes you have people that can hit both high and low...Aaliyah had a mid to low range and she had a beautiful voice

Such a pretty and light voice. Just cause her vocals weren't as powerful as Whitney Houston's didn't mean she couldn't sing. She had the best head voice and falsetto in the game.

The main fact here is that Aaliyah has a voice of an Angel which I believe is being heard in heaven among other Angels. She was never capable of singing a bad version of any song. The girl was/ still is in my mind a beautiful, talented, loving gift that we were lucky enough to have had on this earth for the all too brief time we did. To me she's more than "One in a million" she is "Once in a lifetime!" I'll always love this girl for who she was and her talent!
