...ummm this guy is a clown. painful. if you release your ip and then renew, most isp's look at the mac address of the router and so will 99.999999% percent of the time give you exactly the same ip. what you need to do after releasing is change your modem's mac address (there is almost always a config option buried in there somewhere).

Lucky all Linksys router users can just click on 2 buttons & have their IP renewed while for us Netgear router users we have to reset modem, router, unplug, wait and all this crap just to change IP address. :(

By the way people if you do have the router he has and its giving you the same ip. Just change your mac adress by 1 number or letter and reset your routers. ull get a new one.
