I remember being about maybe 11 or 12 when i played this game, and getting to the final boss, hearing this music it was one of the most intense moments of my gaming life. Dat Music. Dat Shadow getting bigger and bigger. Dat floor that keeps crumbling away. My fucking heart was racing during this battle. They dont make games like this anymore
To this day, I still believe that this is the way a true final boss battle should be like: huge, powerful adrenaline-pumping music in the background, and fighting the boss in a different style than the gameplay.
This game was truly a masterpiece. Ah, the sweet, nostalgic memories of SNES games....I miss those days. =/

I used to play Super Mario All-Stars all day on it! Also Yoshi's island. I'm 13 but I still love the classics more than the modern games. Modern games don't have as much kick-ass as the old games.
I still can't believe Koji Kondo composed this song. His style is either very playful pop-like songs, or epic orchestral songs. I never really liked his battle themes in the mario and zelda games (minus link to the past), but this song is where he really went out of his way to make a kickass, heavy metal final boss song. I wish Kondo would return to compose another game soundtrack. Video game music isn't the same nowadays. :\
Pfft, the only way you could lose this battle is if you fall. Kamek should have divebombed them or something to make it less of a disappointing battle.
Hard to believe this song appeared in a game where a green dinosaur with a long ass tongue carries a baby with a huge nose and a hat, battling monsters like a giant marshmallow like thing, a huge spiked ball that smiles, a stupid and slow slime, a giant plant with a bulb on it's... neck? a giant duck in the moon and finally, a baby dragon-turtle hybrid that controls other turtles, including a magic one that rides a broom.
i would have to say this was one of the harder bowser fights

To this day, I still believe that this is the way a true final boss battle should be like: huge, powerful adrenaline-pumping music in the background, and fighting the boss in a different style than the gameplay.
This game was truly a masterpiece. Ah, the sweet, nostalgic memories of SNES games....I miss those days. =/

I used to play Super Mario All-Stars all day on it! Also Yoshi's island. I'm 13 but I still love the classics more than the modern games. Modern games don't have as much kick-ass as the old games.

I still can't believe Koji Kondo composed this song. His style is either very playful pop-like songs, or epic orchestral songs. I never really liked his battle themes in the mario and zelda games (minus link to the past), but this song is where he really went out of his way to make a kickass, heavy metal final boss song. I wish Kondo would return to compose another game soundtrack. Video game music isn't the same nowadays. :\

Hard to believe this song appeared in a game where a green dinosaur with a long ass tongue carries a baby with a huge nose and a hat, battling monsters like a giant marshmallow like thing, a huge spiked ball that smiles, a stupid and slow slime, a giant plant with a bulb on it's... neck? a giant duck in the moon and finally, a baby dragon-turtle hybrid that controls other turtles, including a magic one that rides a broom.
