  • 0:28 O_O heck so cool!

  • testing for my red black belt in Feb, im in ATA and if im correct this looks like WTF or ITF great technique and form though!!

  • Don't care who wons, those fighters are amazing, I just love to watch it!!!

  • All those haters tht say taekwondo is a joke can go suck it because if they actually took the time to watch videos like these they wouldn't be hating

  • Like this comment. If u think this is a great fight!

  • gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • forgive me im in the ATA so i dont know WTF rules but are they not allowed to punch?

  • @awsomedude0182 WTF rules say you can only to the chest. A strong delivered punch is one point. But from my experience, about 10% of you punches will score. It's not easy to score with a punch. You should try WTF. check out my channel.

  • all the haters that say tkd is fake it doesnt work...listen to this TAE mean foot or to kick, KWON means hand or to strike with the hand, do means the art or the way. put it together it says the art of the foot and hand...tkd is not fake back when tkd was mant for warfare tkd used alot of hands over kicks also it hand ground moves in it to, the only reaon why tkd is based around legs NOW is becuz of the sport it is called rules people just like UFC has rules

  • @LOVERguildwars you are not completly wrong taekwondo stands for

the skill of arm and foot but taekwondo is not fucking fake for all you haters. because im on yellow belt and i have very powerful kicks when the teachers test my kick power as example axe kick.

  • @ohdamiable i hold a second degree black belt in tkd...and it sure as hell aint fake

  • @LOVERguildwars yes i know ur feeling

  • @ohdamiable AGREED!! taekwondo in translation means hand and foot way!

  • esta mamon lo de el minuto 1

  • me gusta este video

  • 0:38 EPIC KICK

  • i like the kick at 0:21

  • song?

  • nice

  • so i take it blue lost? lol

  • they fall over more than they kick :L only joking i practice ITF and i admire how quick WTF fighters are with theyre feet

  • @14juggernaut we may have better sparring but you have better forms

  • the song doesn't fit the video it's to happy

  • They stopped me from competing in my championship because I mixed Taekwondo with Zen do Kai.

  • This is a great fight, but the way these people fight is like a chicken fight they just throw random kicks everywhere

  • @fireclawzing thats wrong

  • @assassin4359 how is it wrong? just look at the fight its just throwing random kicks eveyrwhere. they should just wait for the one kick and get the knock out instead of making it hard for the judge to keep up the points

  • @fireclawzing you'll get a foul point if you keep waiting. the ref will ask you to make a move before he gives you that foul

  • @fireclawzing there not random kicks there trying to look for a opening like kick them they try to kick u then u knock them out

  • all the fucking haters that think taekwondo is fake are wrong wwe is fake

  • @music4life753 wwe is scripted

  • @music4life753 word

  • holy shit they are fast

  • This is my favourite art.

  • If it best to practice in the native country why is it that not all the Olympic fighters are korean?

  • @GoHardMG well an English person can go to korea and learn for example. it is the best place to learn but 90% dont and olympic fighters usually come train in their own country with a good instructor. However without a doubt koreans are the best at taekwondo

  • @rugbylover95 could be but you also need spirit and thats something you can get in korea. But yeah I love taekwondo been doing it only for a year now and its great.

  • 1:27 damn he went flyin!!

  • may i know what's the final score?

  • i practu=ise taekwondo

  • @eatmysushi soz..my old intructor told me there was only five in the world... alwell there still pretty spiceal?? excuse my spelling!! u do tkd??

  • this reminds me so much of Toribash

  • Jesus christ these people have fast legs :O

  • for trained fighters they don't use there hands and they don't kick to the openings, they miss to much.. i trained at two taekwondo clubs,, the first- a fighting club, kick every opening, didn't use hands.. 2nd i am training with a taekwondo master(9th dan, only five in the world) we learn to block and punch..

aswell as kick...i find when i fought in these compitions u get more points for kicking then punching but i blocked the incoming kicks and counterattacked ad won by heaps

  • @themissninja97

There are over 507 9th degree recognized by World Taekwondo Federation and five 10th special degree, four of them passed away and one living in Korea.

  • that is gay.. there is absolutely no punching involved in the sparring, even though you can punch. smh

  • @usmc1forcerecon WTF style Taekwondo doesn't like using punches for their sparring because Taek is mostly kicks. ITF, or traditional TKD is about punches and kicks. If you look at ITF sparring you'll see that we incorporate punches in as well. Sparring wise punches aren't worth as many points as kicks, however

  • @SexyParty154 A fighter who incorporates punches with kicks using technique learned from taekwondo will rack up more points than a fighter who just stays with only using his or her hands... even though its mostly kicks, punches were comprehended in classes, still be used or the arms could at least block a face shot.

What I really don't understand is why Olympic taekwondo artist wont block... :/ it just boggles my mind a bit. It'll look more professional

  • @usmc1forcerecon I completely agree with you after doing TKD. It amazes me too that they don't use their hands either. You are correct that they would get more points if they threw punches as well. But hey, they're trained to keep their hands down in Olympic style, I'll keep my traditional.

  • @SexyParty154 I'll keep to the tradition as well...

    take good care

    peaceee

  • @usmc1forcerecon I suppose it depends on the dojang, but I agree, fighters who are aware of using their arms even in olympic style bouts tend to do better than those who are all kick, and no punch/block. I think it is changing now slowly, since the introduction of the LaJust electronic hogus. Blocking can win you bouts now, whereas in the old school 3 judge point system, many blocks were scored as kicks because they still made loud pops. The LaJust hogu's don't make that mistake, so blocks win.

  • how come its mostly kicks?

  • @binan123 Taekwondo focuses mainly on kicks with the belief that they are your strongest, and longest part of your body to attack with. Why rush in with punches all the time when you can keep your target as far away from you as possible?

  • @SexyParty154 witch is the exact reason i decided to train in TKD. since i was a teen getting in pointless street fights over childish things like reputation and slander. my legs have always been the strongest, (a childhood full of soccer games likely contributed to that.) my first week of classes a senor student asked me witch school i trained at before going to that one. haha i said "this is actually the first time i've been to a martial arts school. so i guess my youth wasnt a total wast. ha!

  • martial arts are for dweebs who got bullied in school who will never be able to defend themselves

  • @mcpartridgeboy So are you a dweeb who was bullied in school ?

Or are you just a little bitch cos your shit at your martial art ?

  • @JordyBT yup i was a little dweeb who got bullied in school !! of course i was i went to martial arts classes lol ! wtf ? !!! you are too obviously

  • @mcpartridgeboy Answer my second question too...I don't beleive the every martial artist was bullied at school.

Take a look at MMA, K1, Muay Thai and Boxing and then tell me if you think in the slightest that these guys couldn't defend themselves.

And sort your grammer out too " You are too obviously " Too obviously what ?

You're too obvious would be correct.

  • @JordyBT boxing is a sport, mma and k1 are mostly bouncers and other roughians who are perfectly able to defend themselves without marshall arts, they just chose to do them to imrove, muay thai if studied at full contact will be effective, but most isnt studied full contact ! and as for taekwondo well thats just pathetic

  • @mcpartridgeboy Martial Arts is anything that is or has been used in military combat...Boxing, K1 kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA have all been used in and been incorporated into military combat systems.

No, they're not mostly bouncers...Anybody with any knowlege of fighting can get a job in security.

I've seen more knockouts in TKD than in any other combat sport, and the only reason why it's not considered an art you should know is because of its less brutal aspects i.e..Body armour ect.

  • Please check out my 10yr old daughter's NICE jump spinning back to the head at a recent TKD Tournament. type in- ( spinning back kick katie j ) Please feel free to leave comment. It will give her a tremendous ammount of confidence to read posts. THANKS!!

  • So many headshots!

  • The red dot owned the blue dot

  • please! what does 'SPARRING' mean ?

  • @bamboutcha00 sparring means fighting

  • @bamboutcha00 martial arts fighting would be a short simple way to put it

  • @iamursk8a thank you for answering .. =)

  • @bamboutcha00 no problem

  • Hey, if the opponent gets too close, cant you push them away? or is it not allow?

  • POWER RANGERS!!!

  • @Jadenh87 i should also add trhat although they remind me of the power rangers they are obviously very skilled at what they do and have trained very hard to perform at the level that they do

  • this is the sport part of tkd lol dont throw a lot of stupid questions.. bottom line try'na research more haters.

  • i fucked up the replay button!

  • Man, I wish that they could follow up a knock down, wrestling and such...

  • well @LaBelS11, I'm dan bo (red with 2 black stripes) and i'm an american. And i'm learning taekwondo from the son of the Olympic Coach for the 1988 US National TaeKwonDo Team. I'm also going to korea this next summer with a bunch of people from my class. I expect to get my black belt next november.

  • @MultiHobbyman wooo check u blowing smoke up ur own ass i can feel ur ego rezonating '''CRINGE'''

  • 1:24 WIN!! :)

  • taekwondo da best yaw ! like it !

  • No martial art is better than the other. Respect all arts i think.

  • Nice vid man i too have posted a vid of my self to you and all people of youtube check it out and leave your comment cheers

  • hahaha 2:17 "where did she go? :D"

  • nice front kick on 0:22...

  • Some very sick kicks, going to my 6th tournament. So exicited!

  • not disrespecting tae kwon do but if you are trained to use your arms aswell as your legs why not use them yes kicks are much more powerful and do considerably more damage but if you incorporate your arms into fighting you can trick and con your opponent use your arms keep them thinking arms then throw in legs confusing them and allowing you to get in much neater and more powerful kicks plus put your arms in a decent guard position and alot less of those kicks would've made contact.

  • @godzuki691 actually thats a question i had myself and it turns out that most American teachers only focus on the kicks and just legs

  • @godzuki691

well thats not entirely true, one main reason you dont see arms being used a lot is because most of the time you are at a distance where you cannot reach the opponent with your arms, if u move in for a punch, the guy is just gne kick u in the face =P

plus it hurts if your going to block with ur arms =P, a kick can easily break someones arm.

  • @LaBelS11 Americans don't practice any martial art the right way...I do both Taekwondo and Karate and the best places to train are in the native country of the art

  • @MrKingHari Whats your fav out of tkd and karate?

  • @Dustybolt Umm...I prefer Karate. Shotokan

  • @MrKingHari Hmm, nice to see your opinion! I cannot say if I prefer TKD or Karate or not though, because I'm doing Taekwondo, but I don't take Karate lessons

  • @Dustybolt Yeah...But one thing I love about Taekwondo is the agility that practicioners have! Its awesome!

  • @MrKingHari Aha :)

  • @MrKingHari I guess they are the "best places" but that does not mean "Americans" don't practice it the right way. Why do you just mention "Americans", anyway?

  • @NECC94 Well. I was in America a few years ago, and was training TKD and Shotokan Karate in various places, and they were terrible places to train. And ok I was wrong saying only Americans practice it wrong. Sorry bout that. America's a big place. Maybe just the places I went to were not good training places. Sorry :(

  • @MrKingHari sometimes it is just as good to find a dojo where the your master is native to the country that the martial art originated from, but its true that it is hard to find a good place to train

  • @MrKingHari i want to go to thai land for like 2 years and learn kick boxing

  • @MrKingHari hmmm but what about Russians/Brazillians/Dutch dominating the fuck out of kyokushin?

  • @MrKingHari I understand where you're coming from. I must say, however, that there are great Korean instructors here in the States. One in particular, Li Young Hwang.

  • @MrKingHari or from someone from that country x)

  • @MrKingHari

That's not true. I go to a TaeKwonDo "College" where the main master is a 9th degree black belt from Korea (Yes, he's Korean too). We speak full on Korean here and learn the techniques and forms properly. It really depends on your teacher and not the nationality.

  • @YekaDruid

he means the actual "American Taekwondo Assosiation" (ATA) the school/college you go to is either a wtf or itf which is RARELY EVER a bullshido school AKA mcdojang

  • @MrKingHari thats mostly true for america becouse for som teachers here are just into money not culture but like the school i go to some are good

  • @MrKingHari thats be true but we're not all fortunate enough to travel to the native countries to learn martial arts so we have to make best of what we have here. i agree it could be more better kept traditional and pure instead of mixing styles and sticking kick-boxing in with it or other western techniques

  • @MrKingHari or with a native trainer :)

  • @MrKingHari I wouldn't say that! I am American and I am a martial artist in a martial artist's purest form. For me, it is all about learning. I have received compliments from masters all over the world. With the exception of China. I tried my hand at Wing Chun once. It was not a great success for me. But so far, kung fu is the only martial art I know that I am no good at. In fact, Master Tan told me to stick to what I'm good at. Most American schools do not practice the right way. continued...

  • @MrKingHari ...But then you do not have to go to the native country to attend a native school. This is still America. We have just about everything here. You just have to know where to look.

  • @MrKingHari I agree but not everyone can be okinawa and korea at the same time. I attend the best taekwondo school in America, World Taekwondo Academy

  • @nvgi389tnj68bnjdl343 if you were at the best school you would've been taught not to call yourself the best because there is always someone better than you waiting to meet you.

  • @RedMage1993 very wise comment. I agree. I am not the best, but my school is well recognized. It has been voted one of the best schools, I believe on several occasions.

  • @nvgi389tnj68bnjdl343 yeah, "one of the best" is far different from "the best". i can understand that some schools are better than others but to say that yours is the best is just...i mean, come on, you know how it sounds, right?

  • @RedMage1993 yes, but it speaks for itself. It's "peak team" is first in nation.

  • @MrKingHari if you were at one of those best places, you would've been taught not to say "do", but "practice", instead.

    AMERICA.

  • @MrKingHari i wonder how often they'd practice, because the native country of Taekwondo and Karate are different.

  • @MrKingHari having said that and taking it into consideration americans are doing well and have produced some good fighters like lopez

  • @MrKingHari herp, My Taekwondo teacher was born in korea. And came to America so that he may enlighten us in the natural teachings of Taekwondo. herpderp.

  • @MrKingHari

    That is wrong.

  • ppl who hates certain style of fighing are IDIOTS !

  • the guy to the left at 1:26 attacked with an ax kick. Other guy tried to counter with a round house kick.

  • what happened in 1:26

  • @ManSteel13 that guy took a back kick to the balls

  • Sparring matches in real life are so different than the non contact sparring we do! We use like 10 different kicks, but with these people i only see side kicks and round kicks and occasionally an ax kick.

  • 1:12 :O

  • It is a rule that you can punch. The punch has to have such impact that everyone around the ring knows because of the sound or that the person you punched buckles, falls down, or cant continue after the punch. I mean, what does TaeKwonDo mean? If people really understood the meaning then they would see that punching in WTF TaeKwonDo is very effective and punching would become more popular in TKD. BY THE WAY THIS VIDEO IS VERY GOOD. Much respect!

  • @LaBelS11 haha totally, my friend is from taekwondo, i joined with him yesterday but he is a brown belt, and he beat up a 14 year olds ass! he is only 11

  • @LaBelS11 i agree with you this is why the koreans are the best because of the way they do it and tkd is a real fighting stlye one of the greatest fighters if not the greatest bruce lee got his leg work from and he even said this style is deadly

  • @wingwangman thats wrong mate hands can be used the reason they dont use them is because they dont score. Hands dont get scored because people do not punch hard enough and is seen as been a waste of time but if the hands are used correctly they are very effective

  • @wingwangman if you are up to date with the current WTF rules and regulation clear punches do infact score points, but i only use the punching method when i have to create distance for the kicks if im in to close

  • if any one would like this vid please contact me via ps3 ask me for my online id and if not comment to me on youtube

  • What is a good training schedule for taekwondo? I currently attend 3 classes a week which are all 2 hours long. Also I play football (soccer *roll eyes*) 2-3 days during the week.

  • @Stendido13 thats an awesome schedule. theres alot of cardio in taekwondo so soccer will definitely help. i don't know what type of level you are but if you compete in local or even regional tournaments you'll be more than ready

  • @wingwangman

    true init..

    dats like saying

why don't ppl use kicks in boxing...

  • @jackieeee007 boxing is boxing. You use your fists to win the match. In TaeKwonDoe you use mostly your legs and feet. Every martial art is different.

  • @Heheh274

    i know that..

    i am saying..

ppl saying why dont ppl use hands in tkd is like saying

why dnt ppl kick in boxing..

  • @jackieeee007 your wrong they dont use hands not because they cant mate its because they think its a waste of time cause they dont hit hard enough and score no points

  • @KJEWLE

i know that, i do tkd myself...

but in itf tkd they do get points for punch as well i think i dunnoo..

but punching in the chest in tkd is quite effective...

either punching or use your fist to push them and then quickly back kick them, it works

  • @jackieeee007 i know im agreeing with you

  • lol if people say its not a real fighting sport then get a black belt to do a back kick on ure stomach no guard. yh ure kinda fked i think that easily smashes a punch.

  • @goldsmash9

    not justa ny black belt..

you mean a really good black belt lol

some black belts can be shit

  • tkd sparring is fun and its a sport, it is not to be compared with this MMA cage match / UFC nonsense.. that is just barbaric, like gladiators. this is just fun, and it requires different things than just brute strength - requires thinking, planning, and skill. and for the ppl who complain about rules like "no punches to face" and say its fake - think of it like a sport.. in basketball, u have to dribble the ball, but it would be easier to run with it in ur hands... but thas boring!

  • Uh, not to mention that the leg is longer than the arm. Therefore, if you can get close enough to punch someone, the chances are they're going to kick you before you get a chance to make contact. That's a fact. I wrestled for 8 years and started taikwondo 6 months ago, and using the taikwondo stances really threw my UFC friend off balance cause he was used to people that kept their head in front of them. Where in Taikwondo you keep it back since you're not punching, it's mostly kicks.

  • @LaBelS11 i think so to and im korean and practised taekwondo and the classes lasted for over 2 hours and they really push you and it practises a mix of defense and attack.

  • Old wine tastes good

  • yeah i remember in my tornament punching doesnt work 1 because your not allowed head shots with punches 2 there wearing a chest pad and middle section punches get almost completley absorbed by the pad and have no effect in tkd kicks are the only thing that works

  • Why call it 'full contact' with all that armor and the fact that you're *disqualified* if you knock someone out? That seems...odd.

  • OLD SCHOOL!!!

  • luv this song and luv TKD i've definitely got infection in my feet lol

  • taekwondo is great it's just AMERICA IS TO CATIOUS. Plus i've fought many takewondo people and i train in the art as well

THEY ARE SO SLOW they do not deserve their belts :P

i think karate people can beat them up sooo bad WHY? cuz they last longer thats why/ body much better PLUS i;ve fought karate people they may seem open but they have niiiice defence against taekwondo users (lmao) answer: GO TO KOREA :PPPPPPPP

  • No, I've been learning Taikwondo for a few years now. You use punches to get your oppenment away from you, a blow to any of the nerves will have your oppenment helpless for a while and you feet are unable to get to those areas. so :P LaBelS11 Is complettly right, get on the wrong side of anyone who has been trained in the art can get you into hospital pretty quickly...

  • these are nice matches. this sport is not a UFC kind of sport. dont get me wrong i like UFC and all of that but this i like to watch more its just like waaaaw ive done this sport when you see 2 fighters that are fast and skilled it is the best to watch sport in my opinion.

  • @wingwangman punches score points now

  • @brandonboodoo NO THEY DONT

  • Comment removed

  • @brandonboodoo no dum ass

  • @brandonboodoo yes they do i scored points with punches before

  • it an old video, but I like it.

  • 0:21 thats just awesome

  • thay arent blocking and there doing some wrestling moves or like that

  • cant wait for my 2 dan test this year

  • @Don123q Nice man,in 1 month i can do my exam for 2 stripes,now i have blue belt with 2 red stripes,i'm pretty nervous,i think it's gonna be difficult.

  • @yanniske69 not at all colour belt tests are easy, u barely need 2 try to pass. And also ask urself if u r ready if ur not then cancel the exam unless u HAVE 2 do it.

  • @Don123q thanks.

  • @Don123q i gonna do my exam, tommorow's the first training of the week and i gonna ask more information about the exam.

  • Song name? Or artist?

  • the sparring was pretty cool but they kept falling.
