LOL... so funny. I also live in Korea. I spend my summer nights on my deck 4 stories up watching the Koreans try to park their cars.. Cracks me up how little they understand about how a car steers. They will get out of their cars and walk around scratching their heads trying to figure out how to get their car lined up "just so"... best comedy show in town... And If I have had a bit too much to drink.. I usually offer some "verbal abuse".. oops I mean advice :)
wow people are dicks around there. if anyone gets stuck in the snow around here there's a 100% chance that 2-3 people who will stop as soon as they see you takes no more than 2 min to get unstuck around here. i myself help everyone i see in a situation unless people are already helping, usually no more than 3 cars will pass you before multiple people will stop and help, just moments after getting stuck.
You don't try to pass in a snowy area narrow. The margin of error is not worth the risk.
What the driver behind her SHOULD do is call non-emergency number and request a police officer and a tow truck. She's causing a road hazard and should be removed. She's proven that her driving skills will not get her out of this SHITuation so she has to suck it up and pay the tow, the ticket or both.
AAA would be a good call 15 minutes ago but she's Korean (See "cheap") and has no AAA.
@PavePaws you're no better than the people not helping her, just another dick who can't take 1 min get out of his car and give her a push, driving skill has nothing to do with it when your car can't get grip. the best thing for the situation is a nice person giving a helping hand not some dick calling the cops. Maybe you should think of that next time you get stuck and no one helps you, instead they call the cops/Toe truck. i help everyone who needs it and in return i always get helped...
@RayAir1 You only feel the ABS when your wheels are locked,so if you are such a good driver and know what you are doing, you shouldn't feel it!And if you do feel it,trust me,it helps you especially on snow.Do you have any reason why you say that ABS sucks? The car you driven must have had a crappy ABS system,or maybe worse chassis,or it was heavier,or different type of tires or size of tires, different tire pressure, many things could have been different.
@RayAir1 Yes,I understand how you feel about ABS :P But can you give me a reason why?I personally can't find a reason why it should handicap your vehicle...
Traction control doesn't help get you any traction.
In fact, I hate traction control and ABS. I prefer to drive my car that doesn't have either in the winter. I have winter tires on it. My GMC Envoy 4x4 sucked on slippery roads, with ABS you had to very gingerly hit the brakes otherwise you wouldn't slow down at all. Damn Fortera HL tires that came with it sucked.
Well I think it depends on how good your abs is. But it's true, bad tires and abs is even worse than bad tires without. Nevertheless traction control makes it more difficult to accelerate on snowy or icy roads. But traction control is ment to keep your car on the road instead of slipping aside because you keep your traction on the front wheels. I like my 17 years old car.. no techniqe and loads of fun in the winter :-D
@RayAir1 ABS is a great thing, obviously your ABS did not work very well. ABS only difference is that it does not lock up when you push hard. Like normal brakes. So your were probably not working right.
@RayAir1 pretty sure that Abs must have sucked ayy becuase good abs such as in the honda accord euro's mean that u can slam it as hard as u want and it wont skid itl "pump" but yeah traction control just stopps the power i think for a sec and lets the car regain grip. i agree tho with u and "sir nails" much funner to drive an old car on the road eg, pug 205gti
They hardly ever get snow in South Korea. No doubt she has no snow tires and judging by the fact she was asking what to do she has never driven in snow before.
It is obvious her car that is the problem not her. Try helping her out next time instead of making fun of her and taking the time to post it on youtube.
Sometimes it's not the car... It's the driver... Although I'm not saying you're wrong... I'm simply saying she could be giving it too much gas. Probably doesn't have much experience with driving in Snow
actualy if youve ever lived in a place that gets REAL SNOWFALL ud know that an inch of snow is nothing and she must have no experience driving in the snow whatsoever, or her tires must be bald. ive been stuck behind many people in her situation and instead of honking like that asshole behind her i got out and helped so i could get out of there faster. if anything the people who r stuck behind her honking while not even trying to help r the EXTREMELY STUPID, rude, dumbass, inconsiderate assholes
I agree. I live in Michigan and believe me we get some pretty bad snow fall and icy roads. We sometimes help push people to freedom because there is a stop next to our house.
I have a 2WD compact light pickup so I have to have snow tires and a lot of weight in the back to travel safely. And that sometimes isn't enough.

Where is this? It’s really wired to see no one simply just push her car like 10 feet. Strange.

No, ABS sucks. I have driven may cars with ABS, but I still prefer driving my 98 Plymouth in the winter, with a set of winter tires and NO ABS.
ABS sucks.

ABS is HORRIBLE on snow. Every car or truck I've had with ABS, the ABS made it worse on snow or ice.
ABS is a farce.

It's traction control problem, not the driver. Either buy a car with better traction or buy a manual if you live in snowy lands.
shavoba55 2 years ago
You dont need traction control if you know how to drive.
