Hey, you can get a lot of mileage out of iMovie. I see it's already spewed out five videos.
You should see my close-up shot for the high school basketball game I commentated for (it's on my page), my hair looks like it's receding and I'm only in college!
I thought my horrible bed head at the end of this video was enough reminder... but I'm too cheap to buy Final Cut Pro... so I'm stuck with iMovie for now!
I used iMovie in high school and I will agree that it's useful if you're looking to put something together quickly. I use Adobe Premiere Pro now, which provides a little more power when it comes to editing, particularly in graphics.
In any case, I think it's funny in a comical way to see big-wig journalists using programs designed for consumers; it reminds me that everyone is human.

Indeed I did. This was a pretty sloppy editing job, but it got the job done quickly.
