and i don't think gnarl will actively take war against the overlord without reason... simply because he needs a field slave.

well if you look at the last game you chose one mistress, this you choose 3.. so something tells me he's not going to exactly have a kid with any unless he has one with all 3 which would mean that he would have brothers/sisters and that would possibly bring some sort of new conflict(example the evil ending in overlord 1 was the correct one) so I'm guessing you'd play as the child with fay, and have to kill the other two some how, or its completely new overlord. If there is a sequel.

@MrScorn As of now theres no talk of a sequel. Some people are saying that overlord 2 didn't do as good as the developers had hoped and they may not even make a third one. I personally hope they do make a third one overlord is awesome and I think that it would be a pretty good idea to have mulitple siblings all competing to be the next overlord or maybe have Gnarl try to take over as overlord either one would be awesome.

@superzilla784 The issue with a hyper customizable character is that it takes time and money. (That is for the programmers not us) and this is for a game that will likely be allocated very little of either. That will, in turn, take away from everywhere else.

Personally, I would settle for a magic user outfit and a warrior outfit. Like a dark cloak or armor.

The more customizable you make your guy. Typically the less depth the game will have.

We never did get a full explanation about the Jester in Overlord 1, and whatever happened with him after he screwed over the Overlord in Raising Hell.

I think Triumph planned a third Overlord game, particularly with Gnarl being all suspicious there and the fact that the Overlord from the first game is still actually alive, but unfortunately it probably won't happen, since the sequel didn't sell as well as they hoped it would.

He assumes wrong. You can keep running around the world if you like. After it ends it auto-saves with the name "Empire Apocalypse", and you can load that.

I guess you'd also be able to do any side-quests you haven't finished.

I guess there are two solutions that I can think of for that:

A: Change the story so that a completely different lover, or set of lovers is taken.

C: Let you pick from a number of potentials to be your lover (or lovers).

I guess with Polygamy we've already broken a few rules. Homosexuality wouldn't break any rules we haven't already trampled.

I think Gnarl is still loyal to the Overlord from the first game since hes not dead cause if you look at the first one he served the Wizard when he found out he was still alive I think Gnarl just serves the oldest currently active Overlord available

Gnarl does does know something that the overlord doesn't. Someone is "biding their time" and Gnarl knows who it is.

It might invlove the old overlord. He's not dead. The tower heart is restored and that might give the old overlord a way to come back. But he might not neccessarly be the threat.

Gnarl to my perception always manipulates the Overlord in all games of the series. Cutscenes this is most obvious? Overlord I near end, he says "if you beat him I'll gladly have you back" and in this game the very ending scene.

Gnarl is probably the very first minion which dug out of the ground to serve the very first overlord who however died before him and so he had become evil itself, beeing the oldest evil known to the world.

That, or he is the devil himself.

that would make A LOT of sense, since you can't really see what kind of minion Gnarl is and he can talk more clearly than the other minions and he's wiser than the other minions. so it would make more sense if he was the first minion, a special kind of minion who later "produced" a branch of minions different from him. or if he was the devil.

Yes, I know that, Overlord is one of my favorite RPG's, I did finish it. Original Overlord was no longer an Overlord, he was a wizard, you did become new Overlord, because when he takes over the tower & minions, there are still minions loyal to you, & tower heart still works for you. Old Overlord could killed heroes one by one anytime in past 10 years, he was the most powerful of them, he could blame dwarfs for Oberon, say that Melvin died from to much fat,talk Jewel in to robbing Goldo itc...
