Tebow is definitely "old-school" - as in pre-1905 (before the forward pass was introduced).
Lost to the Chargers and Lions, needed OT to beat the Chargers the next time, needed OT to beat horrible Miami...and they beat Oakland (LOL), KC (69 yards passing against a terrible defense) and the Jets (who had their regular 'What is this foot-ball thing of which you speak?' phases), and the spectacularly bad Vikings (barely).
Good QBs are good throughout the game, not just in the last 1/4 of it.

If you have been watching the games or even reading what Fox has to say about the game plan, you would know the real reason behind the "needing a 4th quarter comeback or OT to win" theory. Any QB is worth only the game plan he is sent out to execute...and quite simply the Broncos don't open up theirs till the very end...and that's when Tebow does what he does best...till then, it will remain a game of cat and mouse
