Just recently I went to my bank to dispute some issues (long story). Not only was I rebuffed, but the banker used the word "tooken." Twice.

Needless to say, I'm in the process of "tooken" my funds out of there.

@brynnEsampson I'm not sure about that one Brynn, but I say that all the time as well and I think it's pretty minor if, indeed, it is a grammatical peccadillo. I already cleared up the "diction vs. grammar" debate, which was silly to bring up by whomever did that. And yes, I do have a degree in English, although I don't think that necessarily makes me more qualified than someone else to speak about this subject, but it does make me more qualified than most.

"Diction" is more of a subjective term pertaining to one's manner of elocution or word choice; for example, a person who is a good writer would possess good diction. "Grammar" is a broader, more objective category and refers to the set of rules governing construction of words and sentences for a given language. Knowing how to conjugate a verb properly based on verb tense absolutely falls under the category of "grammar," not really diction.

@Supablonde1 No, I get such a hard-on watching people feed their chemical addiction, inhale smoke and exhale. I know I'll never do it again, but I just love watching people smoke because i know how satisfying it is. A satisfaction that no non-smoker can ever fathom. Luckily, every single one of my friends are nicotine addicts. L&M is the brand my favorite aunt smoked until she died. But she loved smoking and did it almost up til her dying day, Poor thing. The commercial is cool though.
