@spinemelter2000 Well, the WWE championship does mean something, more over the WWF Champion as it was just a change of name. If a wrestler started at WWE, became a 3 time WWE champion, then left to TNA and became a 10 time TV champion and retired, what will we remember him by? And the world heavyweight champion means a lot. It's the only title belt that hasn't lost its prestige. It was dated since back in WCW. Becoming a world champ means much more than the WWE champion.

@sorcero12 I'm not trying to bash Impact Wrestling or anything, but when a wrestler wins lets say the Impact Wrestling Champion belt 5 times, it absolutely means nothing. It's like saying winning the FCW championship or the ROH tag team championship ( current holder Shelton Benjamin and I believe Charlie Haas) will mean something, bot nothing big. A world Championship in WWE is what defines your overall career.

This would have been back in 2005 when you had guys like AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe going for the belt. Since then, the title has become de-emphasized and isn't as meaningful as it once was. It's still the Secondary Title for TNA as the TV Title is an absolute joke of a belt.

@jamesgowee tna was built off of the x division & the type of matches they would put on in the early days. Later, it became more about the heavyweight title when they went more mainstream. Now, the current storyline w/ abyss winning the belt was meant to build up the smaller on average x division wrestlers to give them even more attention (in the hopes that they get much more attention and it brings back the x division into the limelight - judging by the 4 way contract match; it def worked!)
