Honestly, im not even conscious of my strum pattern. It's just random to me depending on how I feel. The main part is just UP-UP-CHUNK.

No worries! U gotta start somewhere and Ive never had professional training either. The internet is your friend. The "chunk" is when i mute the strings with my left hand and slap the strings kinda. Theres a bunch of ukulele tutorials on youtube. Try searching for some. Good luck!

I too have had no "professional training" but have gotten quite good at the uke. Check out jake shimabukuro it was a big help. Also Chris Ramos and Sonny B. are worth checking if you haven't already.
