  • its got nice crunch

  • i just bought this and it wont turn on even though i have a battery in it

  • This or a hardwire metal distortion. Which has better distortion ???

  • @wolf9013 id take this in a heartbeat

  • Best demo ever!

  • wow this sounds so fucking awesome

  • pedal demonstration w/ barley any blue licks!!! im so happy!!!!

  • I wish I had one. This is the one that The Strokes use, right?

  • @kokoarticuno yep

  • @kokoarticuno yeah

  • This pedal (v2) is so versatile. It just made my MXR Distortion and Boss DS-1 redundant. Love it.

  • how did you play the guitar while adjusting the settings on the effect pedal?

  • @TheMusicBot wow !

  • @TheMusicBot *facepalm* i hope your joking.

  • SOLD!!!

  • If you like this pedal I suggest trying an Electro Harmonix Big Muff Germanium 4. All this plus a bias

  • @arex82 well this one really has a different tone than the electro harmonix... comes down to personal preference imo...

  • I. am. in. love. Holy hell this is nice.

  • Great pedal, dying to get one. Great video, though I wish he messed with the Overdrive and Distortion at the same time a bit more. I couldn't really get a feel for what the two together sounds like.

  • it sound really good in my oppinion i own a digitech death metal pedal (DON'T BUY IT)

and i own a Electroharmonics Micro metalmuff (exelent metalpedal wich is able to produce 80 rock overdrive sounds and lamb of god and hardcore metal sounds)

  • perfect for punk to blues

  • in my country this pedal so expansive it cost RM850....huhuhuhu

  • exelente sonido mejor que boss ds1 mod robert kelly

  • Kind of functions in three ways, this pedal. The overdrive for a sweeter, more tube - screamy side. THe distortion, a rock gain sound. with both on, you get a fairly high gain and works as a volume boost, good for solos cutting through the mix. Or the flexibility to use just one of the sides for drive, whichever you prefer, and use the other side as just a volume boost. I've used it live numerous times, great pedal with a lot of flexibility for the price. <---Plays classic rock, blues .

  • @cm0220ster so like

could i use the distortion side and use the overdrive one as a volume boos while the distortion side's still running?

  • @wannaberocker2 Probaly could. I use it the oppositte. The overdrive is my general distortion, want I really want to drive it I turn on the distortion and I also have it set up to boost volume. Keep in mind that I play in a primarily blues band. But yeah, I don't see why you couldn't use it the other way. That's what makes this a keeper for me, although there are other pedals that do that as well, some are higher end.

  • I play anything from blues to worship to metal. Recommend this pedal?

  • @ajb2k9 Yes, very versatile. I'd say use the overdrive side for the worship stuff, can go as a clean boost or an overdrive.

  • what the point of krank if your using pedal

  • whoa.. do you have 4 hands?????????????

  • @x89150152 nope, he just has deformed feet

  • i have a ibanez tube king but there is a lot of bass on that think. do i need the J & H for a nice overdrive and a diferent distotion color?

sorry 4 my english i'm from Colombia

  • i own and love this pedal.

  • will this pedal sound good with a solid state amp ?

  • @w1ll1a9m I (excuse the pun) biased, everything sound better through a tube amp. But sure if Solid state is your thing.

  • quarbon

the route 66 and jekyll half are the same, the double trouble pedal is the jekyll half twice and the jekyll and hyde is a lighter, the jekyll, and a heavier overdrive, the hyde.

  • this is the distortion of the future

  • this is the distortion of right now, at least for me

  • Visual Sound overdrives are better than old TS808. These have more gain. And because of the bass boost, I'm not so sure a Keeley would be better.

  • I am in line for the Pete Cornish P-2...

  • Any1 know what overdrive is best? The one in this one, Jekyll & Hyde or the one in the Route 66 ? Thx.

  • this one definately (this thing kicks the shit out of my satchurator for one thing)

  • It's exactly the same ;)

  • IS it really the exact same overdrive in the Route 66 and and J&H ?? I didn't know that?! :s

Is it a fact or just something that u think/-sounds the same ?

  • the route 66 overdrive and the jekyll overdrive are the same. they both emulate or supposible are the same circuts/sounds as the ts-808 tubescreamer. fave overdrive tones. then double trouble is the same if you have ever heard of that one. yep thats all i know... read the instructions if you have doubts about the tone. lolz

  • Jekyll&Hyde in my opinion. but if the Route 66 is a Keeley moded, that's another story. Keeley doesn't mod Route 66 anymore, but that beats everything.

  • These are exactly the same and in the Double Trouble too. To me, the Route 66 and the Jekyll & Hyde pedals are the best pair of saturation stomp boxes you can have : Two identical overdrives for different settings, one distortion and one compressor. The top !

  • Very good demo - thanks

  • best review out there.

  • great sounds to good

  • Is it the camera, the pedal or the amp that has the floppy bottom-end?

  • ??? sound is recorded on Shure SM 57, signal without the edition. Amp - Krank REV Jr Pro.

  • les paul??

  • Yes :-)

  • le paul jest najlebszy a ja mam TA

  • i think its just a low end hiss, id assume the pedal, when its clicked off it seems to go away, but it could be a combonation with bad amp settings and bad pedal settings

  • @ryanern18 probably your laptop speakers xD

  • @ryanern18 you heard it too, eh?

  • Best review I have viewed to date! This is a great pedal for $150. i am going to go order this along with a Boss CE-20 Chorus Ensemble Twin Pedal once i get my paycheck. I cant wait to run these pedals through my Line 6 HD147 300W Guitar Amp Head and my EVH 5150 III 412 Guitar Extension Cabinet. I will be able to make some amazing tones with this pedal.

  • great review!!! thanx

  • Finally someone who knows how to demo a pedal. Thank you, great vid.

  • Fantastic demo, thank you!

  • I have this Pedal and from what you can see in this video it's well worth it :D

    Its the Sex Box!

  • I love this: someone is playing guitar, and someone who knows the pedals abilities well is adjusting them for the listener. PERFECT video.

  • No, the guy plays just with his left hand

  • he's most likely just reamping his guitar while adjusting

  • @quinnmyster agreed i just HATE all of those vids that are like "here is the EQ and this is the toggle switch" HELLO we all can READ!
