I really like this video..I come back to it now and then. I was raised  near the ocean .. but I have lived in the desert for a while now .. I get homesick for it.. the way it looks sounds and smells. I miss rain too. I once took that for granted now it's a treat when it rains. Anyway thanks for sharing this Sammi

It's a South Australian Magpie - also known as a Piping Shrike.

Yes it is a native bird, it is the state bird for South Australia. Yes it is making the noises, the horrid squalks are the seagulls.

Umm I love ya Sammi but you know I can't resist. The bird in the footage is a regular magpie. The Piping Shrike is a Magpie Lark and it's about half the size. Australian Magpies warble - their international counterparts don't.
