You know, after watching this I have to think that part of Martinez's problem is that he's probably confused about his receivers at Nebraska being worse then the one's he had in high school.

Those guys were making some great catches. Were's are receivers couldn't catch a cold.

It's so obvious what the problem is after watching this. There was about two times where he actually stood in the pocket and looked for receivers. Almost all of his passes were either quick routes, or a pump fake and then a deep route. Or he ran it.

This clearly comes down to coaching. Watson is trying to make him something he's not. He is not a pocket passer. He is a fast kid with a fast arm, not a patient kid with patient legs or a patient arm.

These two were taylors top targets. They were both pretty highly recruited but Harris didnt have good grades. Corona Centennial Was pretty stacked with players that year.They have many players from their 2009 squad that are playing D1 football. Everyone KNows of Burfict Taylor and Marvray. Martinez is a fucking FRESHMAN in the NCAA now and he has almost single handedly helped the Nebraska Cornhuskers dominate and become the #5 team in the Nation. The kid is a phenom. Martinez: 660 passing yards and 3 TD along with 737 rushing yards on 12 TD!! That's right, 12 RUSHING touchdowns, and he's a QB! That's insane. Oh yeah, that he's only played 5 games so far this year. Un-fucking-believable. Where the fuck did this kid come from? Sign him up for the NFL, fuck the 2 year rule!

The first school is Mater Dei. Their QB was Matt Barkely, the #1 ranked recruit that year. He's starting at USC right now, and Taylor is way better than him.

Centennial's fb Schedule was one of the hardest in Cali. Some of the schools had better defense than Kansas State did.

I went to the Nebraska spring game this weekend. Cody Green still throws the intermediate passes at your feet or 10 feet over your head. Martinez will be the quarterback. If Zack Lee can keep the job Big Red is in deep shit. Martinez drops the ball below his waist in his windup before throwing. Easily swatted out of his hand. He has to fix that.

Looks to be a great prospect. I'm not sold on his throwing motion though. Looks to launching the ball rather then actually throwing. Just a hitch on the windup or something. Probably be worked out while at Neb though. He is very impressive making a play while on the run as well. Hope he challenges Cody Green and Zac Lee this year for playing time.
