i think lasting love does exist, however, it's only likely to ever happen for certain who have enough perseverance and the hill gets steeper as time goes on with the information age causing more confusion. back in the old days it was a bit simpler. i don't know why you find the bible important to quote from.. the same ideas are found aplenty elsewhere and anybody could quote some nasty stuff from the bible.
