At first it doesn't make sense to me that this laptop with the same hardware components as its larger counterparts is much more expensive, but when you think about it most of the money is probably spent in designing this thing. 1080p screen, core i7 (with NVIDIA GPU), 5 hour battery life, back lit keyboard, all in an extremely compact package. Amazing.

@lile2780 I'm a Mac too but this computer is better in all ways without that it's not a mac and the design but it's ultra portable for haveing intel's new Core i7 the best processor in the world and the macbook pro only has the lame Core 2 duo (13 inch) I know the 15 has core i7 and the graphic card has 1gb on vaio and only 256mb on the macbook pro 15

But I like the Mac OS X to much for having a pc but i would go for this vaio instead because it's better prefomance...

1. Do I need to get the WWAN addon (£100) for 3g connections or is 3g by default and WWAN just lets me connect other things?

2. Do WWAN cards take normal mobile phone SIMs or is it a special type of SIM?

3. Can you normally use your phone SIM in the WWAN so long as you don't go over the usage limit, or will I get in trouble? (Orange UK)

CPU @ 60C is normal, GPU can be even hotter when used for heavy software. Cleaning your fans with some compressed air will make a difference though.

On the other hand, Vaio Z fits to almost all type of users (businessmen, students, gamers, etc.). Plus, It's lightweight.

So I still prefer Vaio Z than Alienware.
