  • albatross is the name of a secret society in the video game BIONIC COMMANDO on the nintendo NES

  • 2:08 the little guy is like " for fuck sake this shit again"

  • I bet the bird does not think that the attached device is light weight...

  • Anyone else rememebr this tune from Monkey Dust?

  • что надо от животных...себе присобач ту херню на задницу

  • Disrespect justified by a curiosity termed science. Thumbs down.

  • Why do white people try to own everything? They say they're learning about them, but they're always attaching tags and monitors to anything and anyone who isn't white.

  • @helgenx Grow up.

  • @helgenx Right... not that the rest of your comment wasn't completely racist as well. I just want to point out that the Albatross was white too.

  • @helgenx no it is the english and their 'fascination' for nature ;p

  • i read somewhere that they can be 12ft from one tip of the wing to the other

  • I dont see the point in doing these things, it proves and tells nothing. who cares where they fly or eat

  • @MLGMinecraftFTW .... awareness ....

  • @MLGMinecraftFTW its important research that we might need sooner or later to help the species if its in trouble...if its not already

  • sssssoooo cuuuuuuuuutttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • dam, these guys are rapist, beastiality is a crime.... or is it :P

  • crap that's a big bird

  • That's a beautiful bird. I hope they can be saved from extinction.

  • but theyre not scared of human?

  • This is so creepy without sound. This bird is just hanging out with his girlfriend, when two humans run up on him, put a hand over his mouth and then hold him down to gently stroke him. Worst day ever.

  • @goodnamestaken That wasn't his girlfriend, that was it's baby in the nest.

  • god i love abatross

  • LEAVE HER ALONE ;(

  • what flavor is it?

  • leave the animals alone you fucktards.

  • wow on youtube people can whine about anything

  • animal abuse!!

  • bless it

  • I wish all researchers who tag wildlife animals know what they are doing.

Some idiots actually kill the animals in the process of tagging them. Some do it for the fame, camera and excitement.

But some good researchers can actually save a habitat and a species.

In all cases, no wildlife animal likes to be tagged and they will do everything to remove that heavy metal object.

    ____

  • @wols18 They are doing more than you.

  • @jericho1981

He is right. This guy killed the fish he tagged just so he can break the state record. You can see the dead fish pic at the bottom of the page.

"Chatham is helping the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation in a research project to learn more about these unusual fish. Each time he catches an alligator gar he places a tag near the dorsal fin before releasing the fish."

  • @jericho1981

I can't post the link. Google this:

    sean chatham wildlifedepartment alligatorgar

  • Holy cow that is a big, pretty bird!! Mmmm...I wonder how it tastes. Those drumsticks look delicious!

  • How emasculating for the bird. And in front of his chick too.

  • As part of my job for the BBC I am currently tracking a pair of wandering albatrosses and their chick. We have lost data from the female but don't know if this is because the tag fell off, or if something has happenend to her. Watch the story unfold here: bbc.co.uk/expeditions/albatrossadventure

  • aaw their so cute! yay albatrosses! :D

  • Albatross! albatross!

  • Albotrosses are amazing

  • Awesome vid

  • Its just too bad we cant find a way to track them without having to tag them. I dont know if I agree with such direct contact

  • @vonloessl

It really is the best way, even though it can be detrimental to the bird. Time is of the essence.

  • What a beautiful creature.

    Hope he still lives.

  • Do thay have smaller tracker?

    That seems preytty big... =)

  • It was like they were just stading right behind a shrub really conspicualsly, and were like "NOW GET HIM"...in the mean time the bird just dosent respond.

  • OMG LET GO OF HIS BEAK! she shouts at the computer

  • Sure, let go of the beak and end up ripped to bits

  • lol the bird looks like he's listening to them talk. socalm.

  • The Dad couldn't fly away when the humans charged him since he was feeding/guarding his kid. Pretty clever way to catch him.

  • Nothing clever, no tactics or stealth. GET THE FUCK OVER HERE BIRD!

  • I find the way they got him really funny

  • can you eat them

  • @biggygasser, monty python seems to think so!

    /watch?v=Z_u7VGiMO0U

  • Thats what i had last night .

  • Lol imagine the bird is listening to their conversation and understands...

well he got the face for that... anyway

  • I think they could have been more sensitive,

for example: Not hold onto him for so long while explaining to us what a good scavenger it is as it sits with its beak clamped shut and probably terrified...

  • well whales r not fish

cus u said : whales and other fish

  • tut tut tut, you still have a lot to learn my child

  • What do you mean?

  • Sorry, It was meant to about blademanx saying

"look at fish and other whales"

  • @xylovesjesus Oh come on. Don't talk about "god" in a video about science or biologists. You are just gonna piss people off. Stop it.

  • @russiarolesLOL Sorry, not trying to annoy anyone. It's your own decision if you want to take offence, but I'm just stating my opinion. I believe that God is a scientific God, and thus isn't out of place in a biological video.

  • @xylovesjesus Fair enough, then I shall give you an appoligie. I just believe that religion and scienty shall be split aside in certain matters. That is just my oppinion.

  • @russiarolesLOL Absolutely true!!

  • @russiarolesLOL

It's up to those(so called) experts to learn to accept indifference. If not, then step aside and let those who can take their place. :)

  • This is not meant to be a criticism, but I am curious. I guess it would be a traumatic event for the bird. Do they fail to return to feed the chick after being restrained and fitted with a transmitter?

  • seems to me they all took the situation quite cool.

  • i hate this kind of interference. cunts.

  • This is research, The interference is minimal but, the data can give researchers knowledge of where their feeding grounds are. Wich in turn can prevent people from interfering with the populations food supply.

  • @plainlake And in someways, interference is good for making people wary of humans.

  • These guys have been found with their bellies full of bits of plastic, which they of course cannot digest and subsequently perish due to blockage and starvation :(

  • Wow, I had no idea albatross were that big!

  • indeed...big bird

  • They are actually helping those animaly BTW because now they can trak it and they know where they are going to travel to, how many offsprings they will get and if its going to survive the summer. And CavalerVlah Its not like they are opening his fucking stomach and ram a chip into his Fucking lungs.

SimonTUTS yes we are ruin everything we touch but also those same hands which touch and destroy everything will save them, ironic but Fakt, They Need Our Help!!!!

  • Damn that's a big-ass bird.

  • Stop your bitching.

The reason you have a supermarket to go to.

A computer to watch this video.

    Knowledge and safety surrounding you.

It's all because of science and research. Don't take it for granted and spit in the face of science. It gives you everything you own.

  • I don't mind science at all. My point is that behind the reasons like those you mentioned many dr frankenstein scientific research take place.

  • So, you don't mind the results but you don't like the methods they use to get there? I can understand that.

That bird was perfectly fine by the way. Probably scared, but unharmed.

  • To get where? Science decoded the DNA in less than 20 years (or so). How long do you think it takes to figure out the life of birds? They've been doing this for more than 30 years by now they must've counted the all albatross's feathers.

My point is that behind those 'scientific researches' about albatrosses lies a dubious reason with no scientific or practical value whatsoever.

  • I don't know why I am arguing with you, I agree with you somewhat. I think my main reason I started quarreling with you is because you are a creationist, excuse me and my arrogance. I am very argumentative. This is pointless. Good day sir.

  • so ur saying humans are assholes. so unless ur some kind of typeing animal ur a asshole to =)

  • Lol good one;P

  • dude fix up your sentence, then maybe someone will take you seriously

  • XD ...

  • They just attached a tag to it. Calm down.

  • Right... They've just attached a chip to your brain (in the near future). You're missing the point. These birds deserted their last refuge cuz of people like that. Pretty amazing eh? But they didn't tell you that. And they've continued to go after them.

Like the birds are going to organise a plot to overthrow the NWO.

  • waaaaa hes disturbing the birds

  • @fctchk

Yea youtube and gay google would give your comment 36 likes you anti-Christian bigot. Actually God didn't destroy everything with the Flood. He kept two of every kind of animal and only destroyed evil people. If you don't believe that then just wait till Jesus comes back. Idiot.

  • @mrjames84 "gay? google", who's the bigot?

Did your god have backup arks in tow to carry Mr & Mrs 112ft 40 ton Supersaurus; 112ft 60ton Sauroposeidon; 100ft 80ton Argentinosaurus; 190ft 122ton Amphicoelias; 110ft 139ton Bruhathkayosaurus; 177ft 113ton Diplodocus, just to name a few? And how did Noah keep Mr. & Mrs T.Rex from snacking on everybody else, a cattle prod?

Your Geesas told his followers "I'll be baaack" in their lifetime. So, idiots would be those still waiting for that to happen.

  • @fctchk

blah blah blah...and I bet "fctchk" is a madeup account among your other 20 more other accounts....bigot.

  • @fctchk

Um the animals couldn't have been the measurements you just mentioned since the Bible never claims they were adult sized in the 1st place genius. There were only two of every kind of animal and more than likely none of those animals were extremely old..therefore they couldn't have been as large as you claim they were. As for not eating each other does Daniel surviving the lion's den ring a bell genius? Being an anti-Christian bigot makes you dumb obviously.

  • @mrjames84 An even better explanation is that your god decided to let all the dinos drown, because he realized (despite his all-knowing all-seeing omnipotence) that he made a mistake by "designing" them way to big. That would explain their extinction.

Except their is no evidence for a world wide flood.

Now you only need to explain your anti-gay bigotry. Where did you get that, from your "holy" book? All believers do, not just Christians. Though it would seem kinda unchristian...or maybe not.

  • @fctchk

A better explaination? Nah you pulled that one out of your @$#, you numbnut. You didn't explain jack. You just made that one up. No evidence for a world wide Flood? Then why the HELL are there a dinosaur fossils with red blood cells in it genuis? Or did gay google and libtard youtube delete that video too?

  • @fctchk

As for anti-gay bigotry, I actually love gays so much so, that I tell the truth about AIDs. The media, and gay google aren't going to tell the truth bc homosexuality is part of their anti-Christian agenda and oh no wait, they allow gays to discriminate against ex-gays, pedophiles, and all these other people who wanna get married...you twerp. Why aren' t gays fighting for the right of OTHER people to get married if marriage is a right? Oh bc there's EX-gays? Wooow..

  • @fctchk

Um let's see if God flunked the part of fitting the animals to the Ark, then maybe you should figure out how Noah even rounded up the animals in the 1st place you knucklehead. I don't mean to insult you but seriously...God is God...if you believe aliens can exist, then what if that "alien" happened to be God? See that's why you sit here and youtube and write stuff that you don't know jack about, but then soemone else who believes differently from u confronts you, you actually suck.

  • @mrjames84 alians could exist, as we exist but if got made everythin where did he come from? everything has to have come from something. no one will eva know how we came to be but religion is a load of poo all it does is cause war. religion just points to incest and homosexuality. adem and eve first ppl eve had sons hoe did they populate? noha and hes misses only ppl left how did they repopulate? jesus spent all his time with 12 men and mad them imagen they was eatin him and drinkin him. i win.

  • @brummie ok u stupid little homo go suck suck a lemon

    no goto ur cornor

u know what shut up u dont know shit about what u talkin about u frickin fag

war is caused by fear which is caused by not knowing what is too come

    get ur fuckin facts right

  • @mrjames84 o yer ps dont point out my spelling and grammer i know im crap at it you dont need to tell me.

  • @fctchk

The flood came as both a consequence and a necessity in order to save humanity. You should be grateful that He cared enough to ensure our salvation rather than scrap the program.

  • @SmalltimR also only noha and his wife and kids servived so how did they repopulate? incest.

  • @brummie

Actually incest is inevitable no matter where we trace our lines. However, for the record, Noa's sons had wives(with them).

  • @SmalltimR not to the extent of that though. there wifes count as his kids he'd be there father in law. how evil is god if he killed there wifes perants he so shoulda let them on the boat to.

  • @brummie

Everyone was allowed on the boat.

Sounds like you need to brush-up on the information prior to assessing it.

  • @SmalltimR lol who are you to say that? :D your information comes from a 2000 year old scroll... if there coincidentally was found evidence of storm AND/OR a guy built a big boat at the tame is NOT conclusive evidence that the scroll had it right, not even that it actually happened! who are you to say that others should get their information straight?? xD

  • @newdawn23

And where are they getting there information from?

Come on... even a child would know better than that.

It all comes from the same place.

Yet... it seems they are not concise enough to cite the information properly even.

    Give me a break.

  • @fctchk

    well it was wrong.

you cant just go up to a wild animal and pet it like its a domesticated dog.

yes, it WAS wrong for him to grab the bird and touch it like that. it probably thought it was going to die and its baby was probably terrified and confused that some foreign creature was putting their hands on its mother.

once a wild animal is touched by a human, it is tainted. it doesnt act the same anymore.

this has nothing to do with Christianity, but the integrity of wild animals.

  • @12zuzus it was a male albatross you idiot didnt you watch the video

  • @tidol357

oh whatever i skipped most of it because it got boring. LOL

but thats irrelevant to my point. ;)

    @Indie9999

ye i know. i just got caught up in the moment and i was shocked at first that he would go up to an animal and hold it down against its will like that. sometimes mysteries are best left as a mystery. its not like we HAVE to know their flight patterns or wtvr. ;)

  • @12zuzus We don't have to, true, but seriously - they scare one bird for life, and in result they're able to avoid them from extinction.

  • @hardpulse

i only agree with you. ^^

  • @12zuzus We dont HAVE to know anything. We could be gathering and foraging like before. But all knowledge helps.

  • @12zuzus

Don't worry so much about it man. Animals are tough, they have to be to live in the wild, they don't call it the wild for nothing!

  • and be fuckin' ignorant for your entire life, we need to understand how they live, to help them live =)

  • ive heard that they can fly 2000km without needing to land :O

  • Christ!!

    Look how huge it is!!

  • the one they didnt take started yellign at the male so int he end he ran back flappings his wings

  • if we dont do this how the are we gonna learn

  • how the fuck is this abuse? they jst wanna see how far they travel for sience

  • Oh My God I'm being abducted by aliens- And Im being Proooooooooooobed!!!!!!

  • No, the Condor is the heaviest flying Bird (the ostrich the heaviest of all) Greatest wingspan you'll find on the Wandering Albatross, although it is closely followed by a special vulture I don't know the name of in English... :)

  • lagest great albatrosses (wanderong being the biggest) = 11.5 foot wingspan biggest ever flying bird was the Argentavis magnificens, or Giant Teratorn, which had a wingspan up to 26 foot :)

  • Animal Abuse!!

  • hahaha

  • He is such a great bird..

  • They having the biggest wing span of all animals compared to length and height of the bird. 11 feet is the max i think o.o

  • I thought it was the kondor

  • The wingspans of the largest great albatrosses (genus Diomedea) are the largest of any bird, exceeding 340 cm (11 ft), although the other species' wingspans are considerably smaller (1.75 m (5.7 ft)). ( I just pulled that off the internet :D! But I think the Condor has the biggest wingspan, I was prob wrong :p )

  • Aha...anyway all animals are amazing in their own way

  • Agreed :D!

  • :DDDDDDDD

    Misshaped smiley

  • lol when they first attack the male the birds like who the fuck are you? get the hell awa.....

  • Lol at the end the chick is like wtf?

  • wow, albatrosses are bigger than i thought...

  • I love birds !!! Thanks !!!

    * * * * *

  • how cute birds are!

  • It's hudge!!!

  • they caught it with just their hands and that is cool.

  • that bird looks pissed off at 1:37-1:40

  • It goes...

"oh my god, I'm going to be eaten up by these weird creatures (human)!"

when they let him go~ he goes..

    "Am I not delicious?"

  • hes like,

are u guys gonna stuff me now

  • thats sad

  • lol this remindes me of a cartoon with 2 rats rideing an albatross :P awsome ^^

  • That was the movie rescuers.. or was it rescuers down under. At any rate the albatross was voiced by John Candy.

  • omg they're so pretty and white and BIG! hehe.. i've seen this animal on tv before but it's been awhile since i've seen a document on them... beautiful

  • Albatross are the best animal. Don't try to argue with me. Just watch the video and it is proof.

  • I never though they were this big. Gorgeous animal
