I've lived in America all my life, and if there's one thing I can say about us its that a large number of us wear stupidity as a badge of honor. They are actually proud of being ignorant. I've lived in America all my life, and if there's one thing I can say about us its that a large number of us wear stupidity as a badge of honor. They are actually proud of being ignorant. Particularly in the Southern States (i.e. Florida - where I live, unfortunately, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, etc.). The North is generally where you'll find more intelligence, but the South is an intellectual wasteland :(

By the fact there are two main separate continental plates, but that would make California a continent. Similarly Europe and Asia are often termed the continent of Eurasia. Scientists generally do however refer to 6 continents: North & South America, Eurasia, Africa, Australasia & Antartica. Doesn't mean others are wrong though.
