I normally can't stand this fuckin' modern productions/stagings ...

BUT these two gorgeous guys (which are personel friends as well)

create an absolute exception ... they could do their acting show

everywere - even without stage :-)

And both have stunning voices too ... I JUST LOVE IT!

@911jp Yes we have an mental idea, "image" of what the set, decor and style should be... but Opera really is about the total package, and why not make them current? Saying that though, I have YET to see a "modern" production that was actually "current," or looked like anything of the modern world. This production is so stylized as to be absurd. Regarding Spagnoli though, I think he was the very reason the term "BariHunk" was coined, woof woof!

Signor Corbelli has a great sense of humour; I'm sure he enjoyed the ridiculousness of this production as much as anyone. He's also a good personal friend to Pietro Spagnoli, I bet they had a blast doing all this together.
