the bells in the background at 3:20 gave me a flashback to when i was doing this stuff. And these guys here are not the "professional" drill(?) guys that the Royal Guard got. There's one company(or platoon maybe, not sure about english terms) that is dedicated to doing only stuff like this and they are just amazing at it.

Great. Saw tthe changing of the Guard in Norway September 2007. Way back in the late 1800's, my Grandfather, Ole Evenrude of Toten, was a member of the Norwegian Royal Guard before he immigrated to America. Loved seeing this during my 2007 visit to Norway.

The little 'shuffle' was not so successful the second time as the spaces were not equal. The UK Guard on the Palace would get his balls cut off for not tell the soldiers to equalise the distance!

These were pretty good though.

It is. He is from Sweden, and swedes are arrogant and they dont care to much about other hating them. Norwegians and Danes have learned to ignore them. HMKG has infact been rated amongst the top in the world. And swedish "candy guards" are not even in the top 20.

Maybe so....but the germans called these guys "The Black Devils" due to their black uniforms and fierce fighting during WW2. They practically insulted the german paratroopers by escaping Oslo with the entire government and the royal family. Creating an exile government in London and forming a resistance. They are, with the exception of the special forces, some of Norway's best soldiers. I myself have been called in to the Royal Guard as a conscript, June next year =)

@fumofunghi Var få som hadde vært i krig før andre verdenskrig også, men likevel klarte det å evakuere regjeringen og kongefamilien. Har du vært i Garden eller i Forsvaret før? Da jeg var inne hadde vi to befal som hadde hatt tjeneste i HJK, så treningen vår kan du ikke si noe på. Kommer aldri til å glemme førstegangstjenesten min der :) Er på befalsskolen nå, men savner fortsatt Garden litt noen ganger for å være helt ærlig. Nazister som deg holder heldigvis ikke lenge i Forsvaret ^^ Klovn!
