Combining two flavors doesn't mean you have to like one, but not the other. It seems like bacon would impart flavor to the water chestnuts, which are quite bland in their natural state. Bacon rocks as a seasoning.

I agree with you 100%. There shouldn't be any conservation on human compassion and standing up for what we believe is right. Our freedoms and life! I actually voted for Obama (even though I'm a caucasion female with blonde hair) haha. If he truly stands for individuality, I know he'll do a great job. The reason individuality is so important to me is I'm not your typical Christian/Catholic. I come from another ancestry.
