Let's say you could time travel. The Universe is expanding. The Galaxy rotates. The Earth orbits the sun. If you suddenly jumped even 10 minutes forward or backward in time you wouldn't be anywhere NEAR this planet. I'd consider that a problem.

In reality, all that all these "time machines" would do if they worked is make us travel so fast that time around us stops. Therefore, once we leave the machine or whatever it will be called we will not have aged or changed.
So, something in the machine could go through 20 seconds in real time in maybe 2 seconds of being in the machine.

I think that the fact his father is still dead is a pretty good indicator that his time machine will never be built or will never work. Time travel will never be achieved by humans because we are not smart or evolved enough to do it. man , everything happens for a reason . time travelling would screw everything up. you think it would fix problems in the past but it would only cause more problems in the future.
