  • This was a very helpful tutorial! I never knew how many ways there were of going into Law's Dragon Sign Stance. Thank you very much for this video!

  • amazing. good tutorial

  • Actually you only need to input b,f,f after 4,3 or 4,3,4.

  • N stands 4

  • thank you men you're the best!!

  • Great guide.

  • whats ~bf on the controller?

  • is this thesame with the psp tekken 6?

  • Thanks for the help

  • Thank U dude:) I've been looking for this FOREVER!

  • Sorry but where can I see what this f and DSS mean?

  • Very good tutorial. Anyway what's the name of this melody in this video ?

  • 4, 3 (~b, f) f+3 with wall not working out so good. any tips or is it only limited to bigger chracters? I am using against Kazuya.

  • Awesome Vid man!!! thumbs up and Sub.

  • nice tutorial however i need help with 4,3 [~b, f]~f, do you have any tips thanx

  • Wow, no dislikes!

  • This is a very solid beginner's tutorial that you have made, & I'm so happy that you made it into a vid. Thumbs up =D!

  • Umm im not really familar with these words, but what does DSS mean ?

  • @TrueWillz Dragon Sign Stance =)

  • @Loyal2law Oh thank you, could you also tell me the advantages of the DSS please?

  • @TrueWillz It broadens Law's options on the offense. His basics are either too safe or too punishable, & a good turtler will always exploit Law's basics. You can play & win w/o using DSS, but your gameplay would be more readable & textbook, as opposed on mixing things up. One of Law's best moves in DSS that should be in every Law players' arsenal is his manual parry (b+1+3_b+2+4~b~f~f/~b~f~b~f). MP~DSS 1,4 is a guaranteed hit once you get the timing down. There's more, but it'll not fit here =P.

  • @Loyal2law oh i see, umm when using dss can the other opponent hit you? or does it block immediately if hit?

  • @TrueWillz It doesn't have block properties. However, moves transitioning to DSS do have auto parry properties in a certain amount of frames, i.e. 1,2~DSS. The gap between 2 going to DSS is the frame window where the auto parry is active. It is really small, but it's w/in the -10 frames of punishment, making Law's 1,2 a bit unpunishable on that frame. It is high risk/reward, though, since the frame inside the transition is so small. ~DSS 1+2 is safer, since it autoblocks most high/mid moves =).

  • brilliant video n very nicely done.... Thx man.

  • OH yeah u're awesome dude !

  • Getting Kazuya ewgf consistently(hours and hours of doing just ewgf on practice) really helps with everything in this game. Now i find these Law timing stuff pretty easy to do.

Thanks for the helpful tutorial, im trying to learn Law just so i can humiliate a friend who plays him and thinks he's good :)

  • Oh wow and I was wondering how to shift to DSS quickly, there must be some kind of button as to other players that can be junctioned from other moves. I finally understand how it works. Thank you for the tutorial.

    *Plays Tekken*

  • finally i get it. ty

  • Very nice tutorial

  • @Blkday64 yes because that's for your timing, it's also used in Tekken 5 :D

  • Nice!!!! very usefull bro especially for me cause i'm just a noob

  • i has loves it ^^

  • the best dss tutorial vid anyone has ever made

  • good tutorial can't deny it

  • I approve of this vid. :] wataaahhh

  • wow, i see combo vid of the dss mix ups, & spends 2 hrz in practice figuring out how to do it. & this guy has a WHOLE DAMN TUTORIAL VID!!! lol aaaggrrrhhh.oh well, itz all good.

  • Does it really have to be [~b,f][~b,f]? In some combo tutorial forums it says [~b,f,f] (back, forward, forward) to DSS. That is what I use currently...

  • @iluvyounha Anyway dude, nice video! Cheers to you!

  • that was badass

  • Hey I'm not sure, but can ws+1,2 be transitioned into one of those stances too? I think I read somewhere that it did, and I mighta tested it, but I never applied it cause my transition timing is off, so I forgot if it actually worked.

  • fantastic video man, if i could give you any tips for future tutorials such as this, i would definitely think about investing in a mic. i think it would add alot.

but great presentation anyway, its just a suggestion.

  • Great vid, helped alot

  • @Blkday64 Well it can give you the chance to continue applying pressure and even catch who your facing off guard :D Especially if they are too aggressive they can eat a good 30+ damage without achieving anything themselves... Just getting a Fffwhoaaahhh and a fist in the face :)

  • Not being able to do this is the only reason why I never pick Law. For me to really pick up a character I had to be able to do everything they offered, not just the basics. THANK YOU!

  • Awesome video ... may I ask : What are the audio tracks used here?

  • thank you so much :) ..

  • Great video but I have one question, its about ws+4 into dfs / dss. I can get 4,3 [~b, f]~f, f+3 pretty often now, and against the wall as well, but ws+4 dfs/dss f+1 is really bugging me, do you have to press [~b, f]~b, f or can you just do [~b, f]~f? this one is tricky against the wall for me.

  • @patriley2 I haven't seen any difference between [~b, f]~b, f and [~b, f]~f it just depends on what feels better for timing. WS+4 DSS needs to be done very quickly or else you'll instead do DFS which is slower.

  • @patriley2 I tested it out and the [~b,f]~b,f DSS for WS+4 must be done by the time Law's leg reaches its highest point. So you need to do it very fast! Hope this helps.

  • @RarelessAltimaEX So what does it actually mean when the character turns blue during Hit Analysis "On"?

  • you kick so much ass

    thanks for making this!

  • i just figured out that to do 4,3 successfully the b and f must sync with each kick.

so when the first kick hits hit b, and when the second kick hits press f, then quickly do f+3 (dragon cannon).

i dunno but its just me.

  • for some reason i manage to do 4,3+dragon cannon by luck. after watching this now i understand why.

  • wooooooow you're the maaaan

  • wooooooow you're the maaaan

  • You just opened my eyes man! Ive had this game forever and now Im attacking it again with your help! Whats the music? its bad ass!

  • Wow..!! :O

Guess you explained every thing.. Don't think there's something totally new to add..XD

    Amazing tutorial[A real tutorial].. :D

    Well.. Mix-ups is the key..

Changing from high to mid to low..

    Using DSS 4,3.. etc..

There's a LAW player named JustFrameJames.. He uses it for unbelievable pressure game.. Can you explain how to connect punches after a juggle 4,uf+3..??

    e.g d+2,3,4,uf+3....

    Thank you.. ^_^

  • @TheOyabun u gotta dash. the notation is: launch, 4,U+3, ff,n+2, ff,n+2, B+2,2 B!, Ender

  • @kman2390 Arite.. I think I dash too late.. Gota get the U+3 Timing.. Thanks dude..!! ^_^

  • Very useful tutorial, thx!!!

  • great tut, laws my fav

  • thanks man! now i can do DSS f+3. i used to do the f,f+3 do the the dragon canon and thats why i cant finish my combo.thanks a lot man

  • Actually there's another command in DSS stance, it's the 1+3 Throw. Although the throw can be done outside DSS, you can also use it while in DSS. Just thought you should know.

PS: For high-level play this throw can pretty much confuse opponents who are used to pressing 2 to slip out of Law's DSS 2+4 Throw.

  • there's also ws 1,2 ~b,f

  • there is a perfect frame for the 3,4[b~f][ f ], "you'll see on slow motion" after hitting the second kick "LK" gets down "after executing [b~f]" you must executed the "[ f ]". about WS 4, the craziest. you must execute the "[ b~f] " before the "RK" gets down then " [ f ] " perfect frame!. its just an addional tips for me based on my experience =).. so enjoy practicing DSS!!!

  • thanx alot

    excellent video

  • Anyone have ps3 and wanna battle?

  • Thanks dude...this was exactly the video I was lookin for. Awesome!

  • awsome thanks dude

  • Very nice tutorial! THX! :)

    Law is god!

  • u dont have to press b,f twice after some of those moves just press b,f,f

  • It help a lot playa. Thanks

  • thanx fr tutorial :) it helped me alot

  • @RarelessAltimaEX can u help me in shorcut key in DSS cloud gate plz.. in PSP because back forward forward is not working plz..

  • awww someone else beat me to make this tutorial, but you did a fantastic job. A better job than I would have done. I've started one with an idea of a Forest Law one using Marshall Law, but oh well. Keep up the great work!!

  • also nice tribute of bruce lee.

  • I've been playing Law for 3 years now but I still have trouble with with WS+4 to DSS F+3 LOL this is a great tutorial so thank you :D Also you left out 4, U+3. It is also a DSS It is one I love using because opponents least expect it after they block the flip and BAM DSS 1

  • @RarelessAltimaEX hey, your tutorial really helps me using Law!

but i can't connect the DSS f+3 after the DSS 2 bound..

    can you help me?

  • @CrosserBlitZ Try f+4,3 DSS f+3

The f+4,3 gives you more range than normal 4,3

You could also dash (f,f) before the 4,3 DSS f+3

This combo may be harder against smaller characters, I just used it for an example. You can find better consistent combos on youtube or tekkenzaibatsu.

  • @RarelessAltimaEX oh.. i see.. thanks a lot!

  • Damn, i didnt even realize how many ways you can use DSS lol. Thanks for taking your time to post this man. WAAAAHHHH

  • subscribed :D very good video. :D

  • This is a really good tutorial. I like the editing, really professional.

  • Had no idea about the hit analysis cue. This vid helped me a ton, thanks a lot -

  • Great tutorial.

  • Marshall Law players should really take note of this!
