  • hey koren! this is such a cute idea- i just bought my first kabuki so ill forsure try this! i have a question- ive kept the clear case thing the kabuki came in, so is it just as good to store it in that? i just find that when i pull the brush out, its a little hard and the bristles get bent as im pulling it out. thanks!

  • omg! at first i was wondering how the cap was gonna fit since it was the exact same diameter as the main tube. but when you put the tea light tin into the cap, it hit me. omg you are amazing

  • hey koren ummm i was trying this out and for some reason the holder frays the outer bristles of my kabuki brush. is this natural and ok?

  • hey skater -is the tube too tight for the kabuki you have?

  • no it fits in but i just made my holder have too ends so i can put it in one side and slide it out on the other. thanks koren!

  • its amazing how creative you are... all these things u do with cardboard... and seriously, everytime i go to take out the garbage on recycle night, i feel guilty and say... "Koren would so make something out of this, or i could have used this to make a holder for my eyeshadows...lol when i arrange a space for my now growing collection of mac...o.O I totally will be making these things!!

    Thanks again!

  • this was very clever:) saves a lot of moneyy. you're awesomee

  • hi great tip ;-) btw are a filipino??

i noticed you used the MAC Antiquitese gift boxes too! and guess what? I have them too! hehe that looks so HOT.

  • That's freakin great! I love it!!!

  • Genius!!

  • What a great idea!! You are so crafty! Love your videos, thank you so much for the wonderful contributions!! May I ask who your intro music is? My 15 month old daughter will stop dead in her tracks and dance as soon as she hears it. It's very similar to one of the Jungle Book songs, her favorite movie :o).

  • hey TysMom - the music is from Disney's TARZAN. The Broadway Musical version, its called Thrashing the Camp.

  • fab! fab! :)

  • GENIUS!!! and u look so cute 2

  • this is a great idea Koren!

I got a mac gift card form Christmas.. and I recognize that decorative paper! it's the gift box thing. :) I can't wait to make mine.. i have 3 to make though.

  • Yes, its MAC's holiday box from this past Christmas.

  • So cool!!

  • How do you come up with this?! You're amazing. =D

  • this is a great idea! but i have a question. one girl said to use fiberwig mascara under diorshow for huge, voluminous lashes. however, what about primer? i heard mascara can be hard on lashes. what is the best combo, do you think?

  • if youre using Fiberwig or Magic Lash, you dont need to use a Primer. Its already adding fiber to volumize the lashes. Most regular mascara are very conditioning to lashes, however waterproof mascara is the one I dont advise wearing daily.

  • thank you koren!

  • thanks,,

you can use this for more things!!

  • awesome. how many kabuki brushes do you have?

  • Thanks Enkore! Awesome!

  • you are so smart and creative!! do you like suddenly get all those creative ideas??** hehe

    i loved it

    xoxo

  • Hey Koren, I have a small bottle of clear lacquer I from Michaels a long time ago... do you think I could use that in place of clear nailpolish? Or d'you think it'll be too strong for decorative paper?

  • just apply thinkly, let dry, then apply again, and repeat - so do it in layers per se. The paper will dry when the lacquer dry.

  • This is soooo great!!! Thanks again for sharing with us!!!

  • This is awesome! Great idea. I'm gonna make one of those for my kabuki.

  • too cute keep it up

  • you're really creative!! :))

  • I think it's a good idea to wrap the card board tubing in wall paper because wall paper is more durable than gift wrapping paper.

  • I wish U here!!! LOL. Greatings from Austria.

I can't wait for your next proyect.

    kisses... Maurri.

  • Thanks Maurri - wow all the way to Austria! Kisses back to ya.

  • Dear Koren: First thatnx for sharing all your creativity by this way, I love your vids.I would like you to show how to keep organize our make up, I use to happen to do it like mos of my friends on a box or a big big case., but it gets messy, eyeshadows use to break, mineral make up little cases go to the bottom, Bottom line Is a MESS.. Help me out with some of your great ideas!

  • This idea is AMAZING thank you so much for sharing! I can't wait to make my own :D

  • Hey! I love the video such a great idea! Wondering about the decorative paper? Is it the holiday christmas box things that MAC was handing out with the Antiquitease pattern?

  • yeay! I cant wait!

  • it wasnt working for me the cardboard tube i got from the alumnium was to big for the tealight candle pans :(....good idea though~

  • you can use cardboard strips to fill around the inside of the tube until the tealite pans fit. building in layers (much like a roll of ribbon), to fill.

  • ohh okay thanks so much :)~
