I didn't like Blair at the time he was PM, but in retrospect I realise he was MUCH better than Brown and many other Labour leaders such as Kinnock, Foot, Wilson, Callaghan, etc.
What a brilliant speech. I forgive Tony about Iraq- he brought Labour in a more liberal direction that made them electable again. He won 3 elections in a row. Brilliant speaker, excellent politician. He decreased cancer death rates by 15% and heart related deaths by 20%. He improved the NHS and the education rates. He brought peace to northern ireland. Blair was one of the best PMs we've ever had.

Genuine, sincere, decent man. I don't know a great deal about politics but Blair has always done what he thought was best for our country.
He has not bowed down to the media trying to force him to apologise for things he feels he has no need to apologise for.
He took action against Saddam as words/diplomatic solutions would not work with this man.

Culturally, the west is going down the pan - but at least Blair tried, at least he spent MONEY. My school was literally rat ridden and falling apart when he entered office, when he left it had the lot... the primary school next door was rebuilt. We got a nursery, a museum, refurbished highstreet... I could go on and on. Tell me we would have got that under Tories! They shut down our industries and left our fathers to drink and drugs. The man is a giant. The greatest communicator of the modern era. Listen to what he says about his father and "The British Are Special" - simply marvellous. The fact that he retained his humility after 10 years in office is a credit to him. A great deal of politicians have an awful lot to be modest about. Not Blair for British Politics is undoubtedly the worse for his leaving its stage.

Reserch how many laws have been passed by Europe affecting Britain, that you have no say over. In my veiw, give it another 10 years at the most,and Britain will be fully owned by Europe.Lock, stock the old barrell.

...no we wont, were one of the most independant nations on earth? were just a tiny island that happens to be the 4th biggest country economically, have our own currency, national health service and TOTALLY different working regulations and laws to any of Europe.

If I was from a Muslim state I suppose I would love the British media. They let me gaet away with literal murder and say next to nothing. Again please reseach how many laws have been passed by Europe that effect Britain directly.

Coldii, you lack understanding of what really matters..The view of the BRITISH people, not yours..It's OUR government, OUR leaders were talking about..So how about you go concentrate on your own country ok? More than happy with what we have, as much as you want to consider 'European Laws' a bad influence on our culture/country..We can handle it, but thanks for pointing out your 'major' concerns.
