  • Wow. That happened to me when I was in North Dakota. My uncle laughed so hard!

  • Glad you are OK. A friend of mine's house was struck, and he luckily found the fire in the wall before it had spread too far and called the Fire Dept.- very scary stuff. Again glad you only suffered a minor injury and that your house was OK, thanks for sharing this. :)

  • my bad it was your house that got struck nevermind

  • Not to mention the fact that several people survive lightning strikes. Usually when a person dies, they are struck on the head, where the bolt travels through the heart and kills them, but people can survive being struck pretty much anywhere else because of the fact that our skin is a natural resister. And what he says is that his house was hit and he felt it, which is an indirect strike, which is far less lethal.

Great video by the way, when was the storm? I might remember it.

  • Most humans that dies because of lightning dies in a hospital. If struck you statisticaly have a 25% chance of survival. Several factors come in play, i.e. wet clothing, witch can conduct much of the current around your body, instead of through it. Being struck by lightning can stop your heart, but it can also fry your neural network, stopping your breath, making you unable to move and extremely desorientated. Without help from people around you your chances are slim. So please take care!

  • my house has been struck several times before,

    it's a wierd feeling

  • Yeah. You can feel a definite change in the air.

  • lol

    00:27 PURE DAYLIGHT

    200,000 VOLTS

  • u got lucky it went through ur finger to the ground instead through ur body (it traveled around ur body to ur finger basically)

  • Is that a tornado in one part? I thought I saw something.

  • This looks very fake. It seems as if the lightning struck near the area, but not you.

  • It's not. i don't believe I/My hause were hit with the main discharge. I think it was a feeder from the main bolt.

  • Could this have been a positive streamer- check out (CNN reports kids alomost struck by lightning) on you tube.

  • That video "kids almost ...." wasn't positive streamer, it was ghost effect on a cam lens

  • It WAS a positive streamer, lightning struck the camera man.

  • It WASN'T positive streamer. Look at this video at 1:11 at the black caravan

  • Yes it WAS. I'm talking about this video.

  • In this video was positive streamer ,?? SO tell me where huh ??!!

  • The lightning was seen somewhere near the beginning of the video.

  • Glad it was only minor! Sounds painful and frightening nevertheless, though.

  • You are fuckin lucky man... I've never been hit but have been as close as 5 feet to a real lightning bolt. They are fuckin killer... but the thrill of a life time! Sweet video, lucky to have caught it too.

  • did u shyt yourself?
