@xxxdarkheartedboixxx The Rockwell B1 Lancer and the Concorde are the loudest aircraft I have ever heard on full throttle at any Air Show I have been to since 1968 and I have heard many loud aircraft. I saw the Concorde once and the pilot was giving a close up full throttle performance. The only other aircraft that had the equal ground shaking intensity was the B1 Lancer Bomber. The Vulcan I would rank the 3rd loudest ever.

I attended RIAT 2007 with the Air Cadets and was doing crowdlining, which meant I was closer to the runway than the civilian spectators and remember this taking off - even with ear defenders it was stupidly loud :D

Hey Squinge, I was an avionics back-shop technician for the B1 in Ellsworth A.F.B. in SD. It took sometime to get used to these powerful planes taking off, they would literally shake my dormitory. Nonetheless, we (airmen) always knew that those powerful sounds were the sound of freedom. Hoorah!
