He's mastered several styles of martial arts and has won more competitions than most other hollywood actors...he's one of the few that actually bothered to learn genuine martial arts instead of just learning the choreography

@surfer041 The script seems weaker than the original, and Ralph M. was (and is) a much more skilled actor than Jaden S. , But I think the martial-arts aspect of the remake is a lot stronger. The actors in the original film--particularly the Cobra-Kai villains--really had fairly minimal karate skills. Jaden S has way more flexibility and flow, and I was impressed at convincing he was after just three months of preparation. I hope he decides to train seriously in kung fu.
