You don't have to use that kind of avatar to visit the sim of course, but to enjoy the sim fully it is much better to use a tiny avatar. I can't remember the price of the avatar, you should go and visit the sim called "Cathedral" at the Isles of Wyrms to find out the prices of the various avatars by Daryth Kennedy and find assistance there. Hope you'll enjoy your second life as a dragon ^^
