The Movie is an Adaption of the book, they changed multiple things because the movie would of been extremely long to actually be the correct adaption of the 1st book. In my opinion both the movies and books are great. But I have to give overall props to the movie because of the sheer greatness of it. And the music is just awesome.

@1971matteo In case anyone doesn't understand, in one of the books, Bourne fights Carlos in a KGB training school in the Soviet Union. It's an awesome book. Reads like an end-of-the-world death match and the last two chapters take your breath away. I've read all of them and although I enjoy the movies a lot (hey, I've got two on DVD) the books are better. Unfortunately, the movies have little to do with the storyline. An example: In all of the books, Conklin is Bourne's only ally.

Hookay guys, wanna a real low down on who's better? Answer: Neither Bourne, Bauer, Bond

Why? Because their jobs are vastly different from one another! Seriously! Bond=spy=collect info and sabotage plans. Bauer=FBI counter-terroristism and hostage specialist=save and destroy tactics, negotiation, collect info. Bourne=ASSASSIN=kill or be killed. Period. Arguing over who's badass or not btw. the 3 B's is ridiculous cause Bourne will win b/c that's his ONLY job & training! End of argument.

@redsx824 I've read every Bourne book and seen all three movies. The books are better and worth reading, including the ones by Van Lustbader. The order is:

Bourne Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum, Legacy and Betrayal. The last book was kinda weird but still felt very real because it keeps up with current events. I THINK Lustbader wrote another Bourne book but I'm not 100% sure.

what do you all think of the people who say that making a 4th movie will be a betrayal of Robert Ludlum? personally I think that RObert Ludlum was a genius for bringing Jason Bourne to the page, and the movie makers and Matt Damon are ingenious for bringing him to the screen, and such a great series should be continued, because every movie has been quality and Matt Damon has made this his own, and in fact it is testament to Ludlum that these movies have engendered such following and praise

i totally agree with you. however there have been rumours that the books by the other author arent that appealing so it may be better for producers/directors to just make up one. and it would be a hard decision to make as all 3 films are brill and to keep up with them will be very difficult! what would u do? follow books or recreate another?
