  • 9 people have no souls and hate all life.

  • @EmmeJayKay Ain't that the truth! I just figure they tried to make the cake and failed. Not that it's at all hard (scheech, if a 4 year old can do it...), but some people... you know....

  • how old are you

  • @mystrio916 Gabby was just 4 when she made this. She just turned 5. Must be time to share her next favorite recipe :)

  • i did it it was amazing sweetheart make lots more stuff and you will be a great cook and people are gonna get joulous youre choclate cake is scrumptus

  • I think what I like about this cake is that you can let the children make it without any worries of a hot oven. And it's made very quickly too. :)

    P.S.

Your daughter is just too cute. :D

  • Soooo cUtee .. Egg :))

  • @Arlcam777333 Haha - thanks. She's a funny little monkey sometimes. Hope your grandbaby likes her cake :)

  • do you have 2 use cocoa?

  • @awesomegirlavailable Well, if you want to make a chocolate cake you kind of do. I guess you could just grate a ton of dark chocolate into it instead...

  • @fruitflykiwi i dont want 2 make chocolate cake. can i make vanilla cake instesd??? (not using chocolate things)

  • @awesomegirlavailable Well... you could try... I haven't had a lot of success with vanilla cake in a cup though. I've tried that, and spice, and berry, and for some reason they just don't seem to work as well. Give it a go though and let me know how it works out!! And if you find a recipe that does work then come back and share!! :)

  • @fruitflykiwi okay sure i'm going to try

  • i forgot 2 put in the oil!

  • @awesomegirlavailable D'oh! Sooooo.... not so good, I'm guessing... :)

  • @fruitflykiwi yea, it was too spongy

  • can i not use the chocolate items?

  • lol..... i almost fall from bed when she crack the egg>>> keep going gabby you are on your way to be a famous baker ^____*

  • Haha I love her thinking face and when she cracked the egg I rewinded to watch it soo many times(:

  • Mine tasted like shit..I forgot to add the freakin egg..

  • @stellaandreanna Haha - the amount of times I've done that kind of thing!! I make bread and I've missed the salt (disgusting), the oil (rock hard) and once I even forgot to put the mixer blade in the bread maker (a disgusting lump of unmixed but cooked ingredients!). I really shouldn't cook late at night when I'm on the phone...

  • Thnx that is an amazing recipe

  • I'll be darned a million times over if Gabby isnt the cutest chef on this planet! She looked so sweet and I LOVED how she giggled with glee everytime she used an ingredient! I watched the video 5 times and shed a few tears cause I missed my darling, adorable niece so very much :( Thanks so much <3

  • @MsAquarian81 Aww, thanks. She is a sweet little clown :)

  • u r soooooooo cute gabby... just like a little doll.. so adorable muaahhh, hope one day i hav a beautiful daughter like u... lol

  • what not to do use olive oil and have no chocolate and have an really hot microwave

  • I'm in USA

  • I already tried this and I failed (X) !! hahaha !

  • so cute, I'm going to give this a go, thankyou! And I hope my egg isn't as stubborn as yours was! x

  • could i use chocalate sryup?

  • do you know where to buy cocoa ? i searched all around walmart but they dont have it

  • @JoycexSuJu You can use Hershey Baking Cocoa, or Ghirardelli Unsweetened Baking Cocoa. I think you'd find them with the baking ingredients in your supermarket, near the flour, sugar, etc.

  • @JoycexSuJu oh and also could you use chocalate sryup?

  • @JoycexSuJu I don't see why not, but you'd probably have to adjust other amounts. Chocolate syrup also has sugar and liquid (probably milk and oil of some description). It's also not as strong as cocoa powder. I'm not an expert at substitution but I'd probably use about 3 tablespoons of syrup, cut the sugar down to 3 Tablespoons, and the milk and oil each down to 2.5 tablespoons. It might take some experimentation. We make it so often I just buy cocoa powder, which is good for Brownies too

  • I dont have cocoa

  • @jan12359 No cocoa makes it a little harder. You could try grating unsweetened (or very dark) chocolate, but I don't know how well it will mix when it's cooking. It might be better to melt it in the microwave in the cup, then mix in the oil (so the chocolate doesn't stick to the sides and the bottom, then all the other ingredients. If you are in the USA you'd use about 1/2 an oz unsweetened chocolate (1/2 square)

ps. I haven't tried this, just thinking what might work. Let me know how it goes.

  • Hey is it a must to buy the vanilla

  • @jan12359 You can leave it out, or you can substitute it for any 'extract' that you think will go with chocolate cake (if you have others, strawberry might work) or you could add a spoon of jelly/jam, best with no seeds I think. I've used raspberry jam and it tasted good but didn't like the seeds. You can also substitute alcohol, like rum or brandy. Good luck, let me know how it goes :)

  • what else do you use instead of coco?

  • @JoycexSuJu I've tried a mixed spice cake, and a white chocolate with raspberry jam, and they were okay, but I need to do more experimenting to find some good alternatives. Unfortunately, when they don't work I have to eat it anyway...

  • My parents finally bought a carton of milk, vanilla essence and a bag of chocolate chips :D time to use the real recipe.

  • @LyricsxSong Excellent! Hope it's even better than your first one. The chocolate is the best part :)

  • aww she's so cute, and good at explaing the recipe.

  • oh my gosh this was like a fudge brownie, it was so good. It didnt turn out rubbery at all, and i heated it up for 3 min.. I guess it's just my microwave

  • She's so cute. I'm 11 and I tried this (I love cooking) and it came out good. I tried it without the vanilla and chocolate chips. And instead of milk I used water. :D

  • @LyricsxSong Hey, that's interesting. A lactose free cake! Good one.

  • @fruitflykiwi I love technology and cooking. I have no milk in the fridge so I had to use it. :D

  • I just made it and it turned out really rubbery. Next time I'll cook it in the oven.

  • @BelieveInJBieber You could try cooking it for a little less time. I do ours for 2 mins 45. It depends on you microwave a bit.

  • I tried a different version of this recipie about 2 years ago and it went horribly wrong! I decided to try this one today and it was amazing! :D thank you Gabby! :)

  • @PSPbyLaura Yay! We also tried a few and had several disasters. And experimented with different flavors, white chocolate and berry, spice, etc, and really, this is the only one I've found that is worth sharing :)

  • awwww - sooo cute!!!! - im gonna get my kids to try that out this week!!!! - i will be looking out for Gaby on JUNIOR MASTERCHEF!!!!! - Go girl!!!!!!

  • @munchkinjj123 Aww, thanks! She loves cooking and this is super easy (except perhaps for cracking the egg... and setting the microwave... :)

  • @fruitflykiwi my kids actually made it last night - couldn't resist, lol - it turned out great!!!! - we chopped up some cadbury dark choc - Mmmmmm

  • @munchkinjj123 @munchkinjj123 Awesome!! I love it most because we eat the whole thing in one sitting, so I can't quietly continue eating it when the kids are in bed :)

  • i love everything in a cup way easier to eat it

  • CUTE!

  • awww blesss

  • Great! In the meantime, could she make me a batch of cookies? I like chocolate chip. And oatmeal raisin. And double chocolate and gingersnap and snickerdoodle (with frosting). Thanks.

  • Great job, Gabby! If you opened a bakery, I would eat there every day!

  • @TheWordyNerd Haha - we'll look into that, maybe when she's 5 : )

  • Nice one Gabby. Love the egg, makes me laugh every time : )
