@Stonymypony Because Shayla scored higher than the other two in qualifications. Also, in qualifications Shayla performed slightly better than she did in the team finals.

I still dont think shawn johnson was all Al and tim dagget thought she was , thats why the judges gave her a low score with those baby gymnastics. It wasnt a E level skill!

@481095ymg2 you can watch the british coverage. Put in 2007 World Gymnastics Champs Team Final Part 4 by GYMANGELS. Nastia is around the 5 min mark and then Shawn is at the beginning of part 5.
