  • this takes me way back man.

  • God. That narrator..

  • I remember at that part when the ship takes off. You see the man-hole, and think that the green slim is gonna come out. Awsome game. Im waiting for it in the mail.!!!

  • Damn I remember playing this, but how did you figure out which buttons to push in the time capsule to make you go where you wanted to go??

  • If anyone can please help me, i got this game to run with dosbox. It runs of but when i try to save it says 392.tex not found, if anyone has a solution for this some help would be appreciated.Thank you.

  • @ChaosMaster7 and yes i have tried google

  • @ChaosMaster7 I had problems running it and SQ V as well so I got lucky and found them on special at Good old Games on the net it is like 10 bucks normal thoughly but gives you SQ 4,5,6 and they have run perfectly so far for me straight off the desktop on Vista 64 bit

  • @DouglasEdward84 thanks for the reply but i managed to get it to work :D

  • @ChaosMaster7 cool saves you having to fork out ten bucks, I was having so many frame rate issues and other problems I figured the six dollars it was on special for was worth the hassle its also a great site for checking out some other older classics as well. I have a couple of Quest For Glories, I miss the old Sierra nostalgia

  • Hey. I never knew it had audio. We never had audio. LoL :)

  • Maybe the unstable ordinance is a test or cue to the user to make sure he/she is curious enough to poke around and grab items, but taking the game seriously enough to analyze whether its really a good idea to have the item. Maybe that's why you get point for taking it and putting it back and it's presented right at the start of the game.

  • Amazing how much CD voices add to the old adventure games. I had an Amiga back then and was mostly swapping disks every five seconds.

  • Prehaps I'll give it a press.

  • AAAAAAAHAHHHHHHHHHH!!!

We're glad you could play Space Quest IV!

As usual, you've been a real pantload!

  • at 4:20 the music sound like ol' 3 six mafia..

  • LOL It seems like Leasure Suit Larry get's mentioned in a lot of Sierra games :D

  • Forgot to mention, the colors for the space travel was different for me. Yours is orange red yellow, mine was rainbow, all kinds of colors! Maybe the random pressing of buttons inside the space ship?

  • I gotta ask, how did you know what buttons to press in the space ship near the end of this clip? I looked at the manual and I didnt find any codes, nor could I figure out what to do. I just randomly pressed buttons and the ship finally went. But now I'm stuck the second time in the ship, as I need the code to get to the next part? How? I guess I'll just watch the play through :) but how was I supposed to get the code?

  • So this is the future huh? Leisure Suit Larry ends up in a flimsy cardboard box... IN SPAAAAAACE!!!

  • Only downside in this part is that the music during the scientist's monologue was too loud.

  • THIS SQ game is by far the hardest one in the series, it involves WAY too muhc timing especially in the mall and i suck at timing i need time to think and properly analyze the situation etc....

  • oooooooooooooohhhh!!! que juegazoooo!! madre mía la de tiempo que le eché yo a esta maravilla!!! jajajaja

  • lol. leisure suit larry ruined civilisation.

  • I always prefered playing with the text on this game versus the voice over. Something about the text made it feel more like the game itself was warning you, not an actor.

  • @djwood84

I always liked the voices myself. Not cause of the warning stuff but the voices added so much great humor to the already funny parts. Something text didn't do for me.

  • is there a problem with my game or are u just moving fast enough, as soon as i go to grab the pocket pal thing a robot comes outta nowhere and kills me...same for the string....and everything else...

  • i just got the CD version of this game yesterday, took some doing but I got it to play in XP, (no dosbox, just made it 98 Compatable and run under 256 mode) anyway i got it at a thrift store costed 2.50...i wish i had the rest of them...

  • the music at 4:20 sounds raw

  • Ha! Didn't know SQ IV had a version with Gary Owens Voice-Over! cool!

  • I remember I had the a free CD of this ! but now I can download the whole series so I dont care about it :) Real nostalgia from sierra games! ;)

  • lol i loved the energizer bunny in this :D

  • I just got this and cant get passed anything. Just reminds me that Adventure games are hard as hell.

  • As usual, you're being a real pantload [^ ^]

  • Well technically somebody is already doing Roger... from the people who brought you King's Quest III remade comes Space Quest II (remade).. whenever the people who are making it get around to finishing it and not just leaving cheeky "blogs" of their new Roger on youtube to promote a very slow project.

  • There'll only be more Space Quest if somebody else makes the games (like how now Leisure Suit Larry is made by Codemasters).

  • Please god nooo... They raped Larry.. they shouldn't rape Roger as well

  • In the city there was usually a man who wasn't seen in this video stream. When Roger Wilco was seen from this man, the man began to scream, a robot came and killed Roger Wilco.

I remeber that this man's clothes had the same color like Roger Wilco's clothes, so I always thought that he was the Roger Wilco from Space Quest XII.

I'm not exactly sure if it's really him but this one question have plagued my since my youth. :)

  • Man I loved this game. Fuck this was funny . . . great game.

  • Space Quest 12? That's odd, since Sierra stopped after Space Quest 7. Speaking of games like Space Quest, how would Sierra revive the franchise?

  • Uh, Space Quest 4 is about time travel, Roger travels to SQ 12, SQ 10, and it even explains why LSL jumped from 3 to 5.

  • This game was so hard.

  • Looks like a cartoon, but unfortunately also plays like one.

  • @rumbamama

that's a matter of opinion. it's what made the series great to me.

  • First 1:14 are hilarious.

  • Terminator plot line

  • I hated those screaming monsters at the beginning of this game. This was Pre-screamer territory.

  • I remember that on the original floppy disk version the Droid O' Death only showed up the zombie screamed.

  • lol remember like 10 years ago I got this on a cd and played it was a kid. I still fear those cyborgs in Xenon ^^

  • This is without a doubt the best game ever made.

  • Oh my god....I NEVER thought I would see THIS game again lol! Takes me back......Great stuff, they dont make 'em like this anymore...

  • @jamejhl29 lol yeah ive been looking for this for ages

  • I never got into these series..i was always on Kings Quest and Quest FOr Glory..this looks awesome though..=]

  • Too bad the intro video isn't included. Hiding from the Droid O' Death once (before going in the grate) nets you 5 points. Great playthrough, and thanks for posting the CD talkie version!

  • can some1 tell me how to get this game i whot love to try it ^^

  • this place called stores

  • stores?lmao.wake up.

  • Memories!

  • This game hated me. There was a cyborg-zombie that constantly stalked me and the sequel police always shot me when I clicked on their ship. I never understood why, I had a perfectly legal copy of the game (one of the earlier Space Quest collection discs), but as a result of this I could never finish it.

  • I hear you on that one.

I would die a thousand times in the first part of the game....

  • it was a tough game, most sierra adventures were.

  • yeah but the games that didnt have the mouse control was very hard and with the letter box u had.

  • I was there too, I remember space quest II requiring pinpoint accuracy and timing with the keyboard (the space alien who kisses you on vohaul's asteroid comes to mind)

  • Did you always pick up the ordinance (resembled a can of spray paint) in the screen to the west of the ship? It's impossible to get on the ship while in possession of that (kind of a strange/pointless addition to the game, if you ask me).

  • I don't remember, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's what happened.

  • Personally, I thought this was the hardest out of all of the Space Quest series. Probably because I was a dumbass when I played this and couldn't solve a puzzle to save my life!

  • hey! i put in that code and i ended up on a red plannet and when i steped out of the ship i burnt and died! lol i guess wrong code maybe?

  • space quest 4 was the first one i played

after that I ws hooked for life

  • hey, i don't remember there being voices on this one?

this game had a darkness to it mixed with comedy which made this great.

space quest and the early monkey islands are the only worthwhile adventures games to play, (mayby day of the tentacle, full throttle but there now way near in the same catougary as space q, and monkey island 1 and 2) i tried playing broken sword and ones like that but i found them ininteresting, no comedy and just shit. i like the sq where you start off in the junkyard.

  • i believe that just like with games like day of the tentacle and willy beamish, the diskette versions had no voice whereas the cd-rom versions did. I was one of the last of my friends to get a cd-rom drive and I always remember being totally amazed when i'd go to friends houses, playing the same games but with SPEECH. Neat!!!

  • its the full version this purple cd with some broom outside and a spaceship

but its too scratched even though it still plays

  • I SO HOPE they get this CLASSIC game back in action.... This game changed my life when i was a kid.

  • Can't decide which one i like more, this or Space Quest 5...

  • The Windows 98 port runs too quickly on modern computers so it's almost impossible to beat!

  • GameTap ftw.

  • i was afraid to play this game when i was a kid because of that screaming alien/zombie what it is

i still have it very scratched the demo version aaahhh memories

  • hahahah me too

  • me too! I remember my bro telling me not to watch him play because of the alien and I did anyway and got scared.

  • Tha announcer is a smug jerk, but that makes it so much funnier.

  • Just remembered the time of the video & how convenient it is the time you stopped the video.

  • Thanks for posting these. Would of been cool to post it with the intro, but no problem with that.

  • Roger Wilko FOREVER)))

  • me and my twin sister were soooo scared of that zombie when we were like 4 or 5 years old. we would watch our dad or brother play and always run out of the room when they got to that part.

  • @trumpettwinnie me too. glad I wasn't the only one.

  • @trumpettwinnie Wow. A girl gamer. Who is actually good looking. What a turn on :)

  • @trumpettwinnie haha, yeah I was looking for that too. Guess he never ran into him.

  • @trumpettwinnie LOL!!! wow i'm not the only one! *high five* the exact same thing was with me! i got so flippin scared with that thing! it gave me the creeps!

  • Wow, it talks! I always had the diskette version without speak.

  • Don't you just wish you could kick that smug announcer in the nuts?

  • what?

  • "Thank you for playing Space Quest IV....you've been a real pant-load!"

  • ahhhhh memories....

  • i still remember this game.. it was on my first ever computer i ever laid my hands on...

  • Yeah the zombie got me freaked out at 5 years old too xD

    Love this game...oh miss old times ;__;

  • i loved this game, it was hilarious! u kno it took me forever to work out ur ment to go in tht bloody drain!

  • These were the best. Hilarious! I wish mine worked, the new reissues aren't XP friendly at all.

  • This game looks as fun as hell, I want to play it!

  • hey. kinda looks like xenon. HEY IT IS XENON.

  • cool. Is the voice part of the game or was that especially made for here?

  • wow... the zombie... i'll never forget that screen when he yells at you and you get blasted.

scary stuff for a 5 year old

  • Dear god, that zombie always scared the shit out of me when I was a kid.

  • I think I had nightmares of those zombies when I was 5 years old :S

  • i loved this game

  • I wish I could watch Space Quest 5 with actual voices

  • Thanks for posting this classic... good quality and sound... top vid.

  • I'm really glad to see this posted, I just wish there were subtitles, it is sometimes very hard to make out what is being said.

  • I couldn't play it too but I'm so happy I can watch it now. Thank You so much!

  • I remember when I used to play this game.. .god I loved it. Too bad it's not very possible now. =(

  • I played the spanish version so i miss the subtitles... thanks anyway!! great job!!

  • You're the best for posting these!

  • Is that Gerry Owens?

  • Thank you so much! I played all Space Quest games but 4 didn't work for some reason.. So I can at least see it now.

  • Yeah, this one didnt work for me either which was VERY VERY frustrating. I could play this part but it would freeze when I tried to go past the sewer

  • you can taste the red building next to where the rope is found.

  • mmm! wild berry ;-)

  • Thank you for doing this, i wanted to but am too lazy!
