My '05 XC 500 is fast as hell. It used to walk all over Mach 1 670's, Polaris 650 triples, it could pretty much hold it's own against anything under a 700.

the yamaha is slower but it is much bigger and heavier. I have one myself and i really do like it. It's not for going super fast but it is fun.

i have a 2004 xcsp 500 liberty engine. the fastest i had it radared at was 102 mph bone stock racing a zl 600. he passed me when he hit 110 mph!!!! but these polaris 500's are sick fast i have a video on here of mine whipping a skidoo 600 tripple lol. the biggest sled i beat with it was a 700

hey guys i got a polaris 500 xcsp and i can get her upp over a 110 now with a few things i did to it . but before stock she would do 110 wide open on a side road not fluff snow. polaris is number they create the fastest sleds out there that why u should ride polaris

The Polaris 500XCSP will run at a bit over 100mph on a radar gun. My son is being conservative, and erring on the side of caution. No BS from the northern Canadian clan!

i have an indy 500, it does around 80 mph, 85 but its really pushin it, if i am not mistaken, the only difference between the XC 500 and indy 500 is the XC has the Liberty valves right??

it's a completly different engine, its not even the same producer. the indy got a engine produced by Fuji and the 500xc got a Liberty engine (sorry for bad english)

yeah they did.. its the same motor and clutch set-up for the xc 500's from the start of the gen-2 chassis till the end of the edge chassis. A very amazing sled built by Polaris, those xc 500 motors are just as powerful as the 600's. As this video proves. There has been stories about the xc 500's with the very few extra hp gained by a can, and the 10 pound weight difference, that they will do 110mph. Those stories are true. My future sled (my friend owns it) does 105mph. POLARIS : The Way Out!

If you have a case reed twin Polaris,it's a Liberty. They came out as a 700 in 97m and the 600 in 98, and the 500 in 99. Polaris phased these engines in so Fujis were run as well in some models I believe as late as 2002.

The small block Liberty (500) is a little power monster.

well apparently you dont know, polaris had fuji engines, then they made polaris engines and now they use mostly liberty engines in the sleds, if its a liberty it will say LIBERTY on the block, not POLARIS like the 99s do, trust me i know, I HAVE ONE, and one of my buddys has an 09 800 that says LIBERTY on it, and my uncle has an 06 liberty that says LIBERTY on it, not POLARIS

You should do your homework. It will save you a lot of embarrassment. All Polaris case reed twins are Liberty engines. Fuji twins were piston port.

Case reed twins started to show up in 97 as the XC 700, and were actually a limited build in late 96.

The Yamaha won this race. I had been beating him all day on the XC and we switched sleds for this race. He is about 100 pounds heavier than I am. That little Polaris goes good for a 500.
