Betts used to wear a jacket with "fuck you" written on the back in the south in the sixties. Brass balls boss, they only make 'em one way. That comes through here. It's either the start of the show or back from the break and they set it up, leave the rhythm section in charge and go back to finishing what had to be finished. Fuck the rest. I can practically smell the cocaine 33 years later. They come back and they got that grip. Great tune from an overshadowed and underrated album.

Godflies Slap Funk Fender Jazz Bass solo? Hmmmm... It was the ass-end of the seventies... When he got to the Berry O influenced part it was much better. And of course when Dickie and Goldie took the stage it sure is Great Southern Sweetness. One of the tastiest Gitslingers ever... He and Dan Toler on the double Gibson-Fender harmony licks is as close as yer gonna git to Duane and Eric's sound from Layla (IMO)
