I am well aware about privatization. We privatize healthcare here and its hell. Employees rarely give a health plan, and the other only option is paying out of pocket for a doctor visit or insurance its self. Both are ridiculously priced for low-medium income families like mine.

My problem with the tea party, though I am sympathetic to it, is that they want to go after all the wrong things. That's an abuse of people's freedoms. I am well aware about privatization. We privatize healthcare here and its hell. Employees rarely give a health plan, and the other only option is paying out of pocket for a doctor visit or insurance its self. Both are ridiculously priced for low-medium income families like mine.

Communists, Social Democrats and miscellaneous Marxists of all stripes have been trying to import socialism into North America for the better part of a century. Majority opinion has been enough to stop it until the last 20 years or so, but majority opinion seems to be irrelevant these days.

Medical facilities are good, but still, the available tax base in equivalent dollars per person, and the willingness of the people to, virtually, work for the government, that is, tax rates approaching 100% is what makes it work, not possible at USA population level.

My problem with the tea party, though I am sympathetic to it, is that they want to go after all the wrong things. Instead of getting rid of all of the country's pork spending, excessive military spending, foreign aid, corporate welfare, bailouts to billionaires, foreign occupation, giving free military to 1st world countries like Germany and Japan (who could pay for their own) etc, what the tea party seems the MOST upset about is poor people getting very minimal help from the government.

@christo930 Germany has a military the Bundeswehr. We have bases there there for our own ends.. Yes though we should be gone from there and else where around the world. We need to worry about our own country for a change.

@christo930 I think we need to cut a lot of this bloated government here domestically and abroad. I do agree that it seems slightly misguided at times but the average citizenry understands little about how massive this government is and I think that needs to change. The media certainly doesn't help, but the tea parties can be an impetus for this new understanding of our government and its excesses. Yes domestic programs naturally should be cut last. Our policing the world first.

HOW is he destroying your freedom? HOW is he destroying the consitution? Granted I've only taken a year of constitutional law at the law school I attend... but I haven't seen anything myself that would indicate he's destroying the constitution nor has any credible academic made such claims

Besides, correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation. Does the fact that Sweden is overwhelmingly white make them all white supremacists?

@PadraikKasier I'm not making the direct inference that Tea Party members are all white supremacists. The Tea Party advertises itself as the "everyman" party. Representing "the people", not corporate America and not "the man". The Tea Party holds itself out as being the party for "real Americans"... problem is, according to their membership they are a party for middle-aged upper-middle class white men... Is that who "real Americans" are? Isn't that the definition of "the man"?

Dick Armey was simultaneously chair of Freedom works AND a lobbying partner at DLA Piper (lobbyied for healthcare providers that would benefit from the healthcare bill being struck down) and 2. The Tea Party demonizes Wall Street, but when the administration wants to levy charges/fines against them all of the sudden its "NO! YOU'RE INTRUDING ON FREE ENTERPRISE!" Assholes
