The most happy and peaceful i have ever been was after listening to Nithyananda discourses on youtube and i have listened to many yogis and swami's but non of them had the same impact as nithyananda.Just ,my honest opinion
Great that you discovered that he is not for you, having seen a few of his u tube vids he does not strike me as one learned in any of the scriptures, he does not strike me as a master a Guru, soo its very good for you to find your way "out" but as for others they have to come to their own realizations.

I can agree with some of points made on the video, he does always talk about how suffering is the best teacher, and always over emphasizes suffering.
If you believe in no happiness only moments of bliss then your students would be in a state constant suffering to reach enlightenment. Tyrannical leaders use suffering to keep large populations under control, just look at history.
But his teachings are very clear, and remember that he too is on a journey, he is learning as he is teaching.

Its true that ignorance is bliss, but as long as we don't use our knowledge and experience before getting into something, the same blissful ignorance would become a curse.
My sincere request to all people, especially from the west is to not take every one who claims to be a guru for granted. Why do we need to wait till some startling revelations about these self proclaimed gurus come out to make a true impression about the person? Are we that desperate to find a solution to our problems through external sources that we even lose ourselves completely to whoever promises to do so?
As long as we don't understand this, there would be many fake gurus who are constantly waiting to feed on our emotions and psyche. Lets us get it clear that no one, including the divine can wipe out the bad karma that we earn through our thoughts and actions and only when we are ready to realize the actions we have made, that earned us the bad karma from the bottom of our heart and sincerely apologize for the same, we would find an eternal solution to our problems.
I understand it is easily said than done, but with persistence and yogic practices, especially meditation we can develop the habit of talking to our higher self who is waiting desperately for us to make an attempt to trust him and seek his advice.
Yogic sciences in India always stress the point that the divine energy is within us and hence we are the guru. If we are in desperate need of suggestions and guidance, it is we who need to wake the divine energy within us and listen to what our intuition is saying.
Even some of the greatest spiritual men who walked on the face of this planet have time and again said that we are responsible for our actions and what we face in our life is just a reflection of our actions that gets deeply imbibed in our heart and mind, leaving a strong imprint on our soul. They have also added that it is we and only we who could put an end to it by nurturing and listening to our intuition.

if you personally say you have felt his energy, then surely he is not a fake swami. In the morning he has what you call "sarva dharshan" which is when he goes to the temple in bidadi, early in the morning, around 6 and gives free dharshan, or what you call putting his thumb on foreheads, to people who live outside the ashram and cant afford it. he also allows those people to stay and eat both breakfast and lunch. now if you calculate it, he actually loses 150 rupees for every person that comes.

I've watched alot of Nithyananda's videos online, and find his teachings have enriched my life. However, I'm still open-minded enough to consider that, in practice, he may not practice what he preaches. But, it seems that the author of this video is deleting most comments opposing their position, which makes this entire thread monologic and unconvincing to me.

That open debate is stifled tells me that those espousing whatever position is favored by this censorship aren't secure in their position, and I begin to doubt it. I want to read both sides of the debate and find which side is most persuasive, otherwise I see this as just a rant which, while somewhat persuasive, is just one side of the story, and I reserve judgment. I'd like to add, as well, that regardless of Nithyananda's personal activities, or anything else about him or his organization, this does not negate the positive effects his lectures have had on my life. personally, that matters most to me. ps -- I know nothing of Nithyananda beyond these lectures. I can agree with some of points made on the video, he does always talk about how suffering is the best teacher, and always over emphasizes suffering.
If you believe in no happiness only moments of bliss then your students would be in a state constant suffering to reach enlightenment. Tyrannical leaders use suffering to keep large populations under control, just look at history.
But his teachings are very clear, and remember that he too is on a journey, he is learning as he is teaching.

if you personally say you have felt his energy, then surely he is not a fake swami. In the morning he has what you call "sarva dharshan" which is when he goes to the temple in bidadi, early in the morning, around 6 and gives free dharshan, or what you call putting his thumb on foreheads, to people who live outside the ashram and cant afford it. he also allows those people to stay and eat both breakfast and lunch. now if you calculate it, he actually loses 150 rupees for every person that comes.

The criticisms against Mr. Nithyananda are warranted. But, compared to the crimes that Mr. Nithyananda has done, this is a very mild rebuke. Sensitivity and compassion are always good traits to have.

You should find nithyananda-cult blogspot. Under Nov. 09, look for "Red Hot Chili Fire Ritual". Under Oct. 09, look for 1. "Graveyard Enlightenment" & 2. "Spreads His Tantric Bliss". These will summarize his dark ways. By making people dizzy with 'solid' experiences from his siddhis (powers), people then believe he is god. Very sad.

I have read these sources already. I do not believe that men have supernatural powers. Dark tantric practices such as these ritual behaviours reveal more about the mindset of believers than the purported effects such rituals are supposed to have, which is easy to put down to human gullibility and suggestion. Sagun111, yes, you are right, the brilliance of Sun cannot be stopped by merely blocking by hand. Please know the difference between a 'flash in the pan' and a real celestial body. You might want to take into consideration the experience that others had with Mr. Nithyananda. At the very least, take some time to get to know the 'guru' before commenting and committing. Many of us, including the person who wrote the words to this video have suffered huge losses. Mr. Nithyananda has caused financial losses, broken careers, separated families, divorces, etc. Please realize that these experiences are from real people with real stories & they don't want to see you suffer as they did.

hello,
I've watched alot of Nithyananda's videos online, and find his teachings have enriched my life. However, I'm still open-minded enough to consider that, in practice, he may not practice what he preaches. But, it seems that the author of this video is deleting most comments opposing their position, which makes this entire thread monologic and unconvincing to me.

That open debate is stifled tells me that those espousing whatever position is favored by this censorship aren't secure in their position, and I begin to doubt it. I want to read both sides of the debate and find which side is most persuasive, otherwise I see this as just a rant which, while somewhat persuasive, is just one side of the story, and I reserve judgment. I'd like to add, as well, that regardless of Nithyananda's personal activities, or anything else about him or his organization, this does not negate the positive effects his lectures have had on my life. personally, that matters most to me. ps -- I know nothing of Nithyananda beyond these lectures. I'm not an ex-devotee, never been to one of his temples, etc.
