How can they say "he will be very steep on the way down and gets stuck behind in the same sentence? First he was saying that he was very steep on the downswing, stuck is the opposite of steep. Stuck is when the shaft is approaching underneath the rightarm, players usally get stuck if they have bad shaftcontrol or bad swing sequence.

Very steep swing, and this is still Tiger's problem today despite the supposed 'swing revamp' under Sean Foley.

It explains why he hits great short irons & wedges, but has no consistency with the longer clubs (especially the driver).

What causes that? Too steep of a swing? That didn't look steep to me. Mabey he just compressed too much into the ball.

Its not really to do with the take away and the rest of the swing.if you look at the sternum on the chest of a golfer it will be above the ball at impact. if its not it'll be behind and means that the lowest part of the swing is going to pump the ground first. woods did it because his arms were trapped. his body moved down and left leaving his arms playing catch up.its not a swing thing more a timing issue. changing the swing has a definite impact on timing.
