There aren't many who are going to be able to do what I did. Statistically, very few get out of poverty. I was treated horribly by a lot of people until I learned to play the game and get past a lot of hidden barriers. The way things are set up in society is rigged to keep things the way they are, not to help everyone raise their status of living.
You realize the poor are uneducated, yet I bet you are against almost anything that would help them get educated. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps to escape the impoverished neighborhood I lived in, although to my unpleasant surprise that was held against me by financial aid and didn't help me much. I earned 4 degrees and will have my doctoral degree this summer because I am fortunate enough to be very academically inclined. But I don't know anyone else in that neighborhood who escaped.
You're a clueless, rambling fool who knows nothing. How do you explain the poor quality of life experienced by the people of the United States? The supposed "greatest country in the world" offers substandard access to health care and overall quality of life. We are dealing with an epidemic of obesity, have an inexcusable number of people living in poverty and filth, and our overall quality of life is far below that found in Canada, the UK, and especially Scandanavia.
What annoys me is when broadcasters don't call these people out on their BS. The GOP did what it always does, call for a press conference and present nothing. Remember, the GOP called for this press release to coincide with President Obama's historic Online Town Hall which coverage was preempted . Kudos to Contessa Brewer for not being a party to the antics of the GOP.
I want to first clear up that I in no way support the GOP. Ideologically, I'm a definite liberal. But I have a sincere appreciation for bipartisanship-- politicians should vote on judgment and facts for their constituents, not just on party lines. That's not how democracy works. With that said, I'm an ardent supporter of a media that exposes the fraudulence in politics. However, as a journalist or reporter, I don't want an anchor to opine. I want facts presented, I want a serene analysis.

Contessa is attractive at first sight, but once you start to listen to her, she becomes repulsive. Trust me, keep listening. You'll get there.
