I have a friend who has one of these! his was made in 1916. I`m guessing this one was made the same year or a little later. These fans were made up until 1928 with brass blades, By the 30s & 40s this type of fan was made a lot lighter in construction.
I like that Elcon fan are you going to get a box made for it and make into a box fan? you could with it and it would be powerful. I would like to find that model fan. because its a really old fan compared to my fans.
It could be worth between $30 or $50. but I would keep it because they arnt a common fan and just paint the motor cover & support bars and the ring it is in a nice cobalt blue. But if you wanted to sell it thats your desision.
i will keep it and do it up. i like old things. if i gave you the modal No could you find out how old it is? some one say it could be 1920. could it be that old?
Beautiful fan.... are the blades solid brass? Also am I the only one thinking that is would be at home in a steampunk/ industrial decorated house?
