Ladies and Gents, just to clear something up - I have not doubt that the Tornado did not drop any bombs and that this was just a stunt to wow and entertain the crowds - something which I think was achieved, I certainly enjoyed the show!
@RobEyre141 Yes I agree same thing done at the Cleveland National Airshow, when a A-10 "supposedly" fired it's cannons to the ground and this very same thing happen. Gotta say it's is thrilling to see stuff blow up however.
The plane definitely did not drop any bombs... each explosion occured at the same time (rather than one after another) and was not nearly as destructive as it should have been.
It's a guy on the ground triggering them when the jet flys over, I doubt it dropped anything. But if it did drop bombs, those weren't anything like a bomb.
@philippa4bubbles i have been RAF Leuchars with cadets and that IS Leuchars... if you dont like loud aircraft or airshows dont live near an RAF airbase!

i live in leuchars and they dont drop the bombs its set charges on the runway, it would cost quite abit to fix a bombed runway
