  • Norwegian sounds very close to Turkish

  • hva hetter ravi`s etter navn?

  • In Norway we kinda laugh about this language, its, how u say, orthophonic? Well, it's written in the same way its spoken, so the written part is soo not correct. But its spoken like this, tho.

Ravi also menas Ivar backwards, which is a quite common, old fashioned boyname. But he's cool. I've got memories attached to this. :)

  • New England here. Norway is part of my heritage.

  • i'm from norway

  • oh my god, a nynorsk?

  • WtF Norsk Black Metal bitch.....

  • Nub, han er en av de eneste fuckings rapperne i norge som kan rime

  • Det spørs sjanger :p

  • Det er litt sørgelig å se at du har fått 3 minus for å si noe som stemmer x)

  • LOL

    WTF is this

    He speaks Norwegian

  • Jesus kommer velsigne alle mennesker og Gud velsigne dere alle håp for fremtiden og velsigne ditt liv og mål

    Hilsen stavangårgutten:D

  • videoen går altfor fort i forhold te teksten.

  • Hvorfor sier Ravi "Jæ snaker ike åm en idealplanet" og ikke "Jeg snakker ikke om en idealplanet"?

    Which dialect is he speaking?

  • he just writes like he speaks, and he speaks eastern norwegian=D

  • jepp sånn prater vi her i tønsberg

  • =D hehe

  • Thank you friend :D! This is a very intresting thing but I can't understand why he writes like he speaks... if someone wanna learn something about Norwegian language through the lyrics of typical music... this thing can make him mad!

Especially me that i'm trying to learn the language on my own, watching videos and listening to the music ;)

I asked that thing because I know in Norway you have a lot of dialects and I thought he was speaking one of them!

    Thank you again!

  • One last thing i can't understand about Norwegian language :|

I take these sentences like example:

"I dag så jeg en elk på vei til skolen"

and "jepp sånn prater vi her i tønsberg"

Why do you say "SÅ JEG" and "PRATER VI" and not "JEG SÅ" and "VI PRATER"?

Can you understand my question? why do you put the subject after the verb, and not before?

If i write "I dag jeg så en elk på vei til skolen" and "yup som vi prater her i tønsberg" am I wrong?

  • to be honest i dont know why we say it in that order^^ its just what seems most natural^^ btw i think its super fun that someone bothers to learn our little language =D as a norwegian i am flattered,

  • Jeg tenker at lære norsk er helt morsomt! :D

I allways enjoy myself very much trying to learn it! but I'm allways afraid to be wrong when I talk to a norwegian..

Ha det bra! I don't see the hour to have my trip in Norway this summer!

  • hehe most ppl becomes shocked cuz they think we are not polite^^, we are shy ppl and if someone smile at u thats wery polite in norwegian^^ smile at ppl and u will have fun^^

  • it just be wrong for us to say that in that way, it will be just like a question whidout "?" and if I transfer this sentenses ( vi prater norsk = we talk Norwegian.) (prater vi norsk = do we speak Norwegian) the last will be just like a question.

  • Because norwegian is a verb-subject language. It's different from a lot of the other european languages.

  • since when?

i allways though it was, similar to german/english an svo - thing.

this prater vi = question, or sometimes vi drive det, norsk prater vi as a variation.

can also be wrong, of course :)

  • I am part Norwegian and I love them! I love Norway, and how they live and especially their language! One day I hope to visit the beautiful contry!

Thanks for posting this wonderful video!

    Have a great day!

    :)

    Where you from?

  • @trouble518 me 2!

  • Is it norwegian language ? Gramatic is strange..

  • i know, thats the "mark" of ravi, he is spelling it like its said...

  • Jes.. But not the subtitle! Thats spelled totaly wrong.. =P But the talking is ;p

  • yeah, i know;) ah, thanks for the tips. ill try to make it, it sounds very nice;) hey, what does "you look beautiful" in talian? hehe

  • Mmm...I'm sorry but I probably don't understand the men of the question...

I have a bad english!!...Kan du hjelpe meg!

But I can try to answer!! :) (only for you!eh eh)

    Now:

You look beautiful ==I think==> You are beautiful

In Italia dici: Tu sei fantastico/a*! (o bellissimo/a*)

I Norge Du sier: Du er fantastisk! (eller veldig vakker)

    (probably I have a bad norwegian!! :))

    *[Bellissimo/fantastico to a man, bellissima/fantastica to a girl]

    Ha det!

  • yeah that was what i ment;) ur english and norwegian is very good. but my trip is now over,so its too late:( hehe, but thats ok:P well, thanks for everything. ciao;) (or chiao?)

  • Eh eh, forte il micro-vichingo nella culla!

  • Vakker song!

    Jeg Italiensk og elsker Norge!

    (I'm learnig Norwegian)

  • No offense, but "jeg italiensk" instead of "jeg er italiensk" that's something norwegians are laughing about because it's so typical for foreigners.. Hehe, just wanted to tell you.. However, really cool that you're learning Norwegian ;)

  • Oh my god! ah ah ah ah ah!

You are right, I don't understand why I have forgotten the verb!

However in Italy there aren't places where to learn Norwegian then I'm trying to learn something on the Internet....:)

    Tusen takk!

  • Damn, you actually have some skills!

Du gjør det bra, men hvorfor lære Norsk?

    ;x

  • bra! jeg er norsk og elsker norge! and italy hehe. im going to italy/sardinia from 26/09 till 03/10 2008! im lookin so forward to that:D

  • Stupendo! Io in Sardegna non ci sono ancora stato, però se ne parla benissimo :)

But why are You coming in Italy in September/October?

The weather in my country is better in Summer than in Autumn.

I live in northern Italy (in Bergamo, near the mountains) and in Autumn the weather becomes rainy and fresh(but Sardinia is not in northern italy then i don't know)...

I hope for You that in Sardinia It will be sunny in these days!

    Where are you going?

  • Stupendo! Io in Sardegna non ci sono ancora stato, però se ne parla benissimo? hehe, what does that mean? yeah, but i think it may be warmer then i norway hehe. thank you for hoping sardinia will be sunny;) hehe.. you live in bergamo?? we starting there in bergamo/milano, then lago di garda, then gardaland, the ROMA, then sardinia, then livorno, then milano and then home! i think that will be cool, italy looks awesome

  • It means:"Fantastic! I have never been in Sardinia but it is a beatiful land!"

Wow! You're going to do a beautiful travel in Italy!

If you come to Bergamo i tell to you(foreslå)that the best part of Bergamo is "Città alta", the old town sorraunded by Venetian walls.

You can go to "Città alta" by "fløibanen" from "città bassa", and there are some intresting things to see, like the "rocca", "castello di S. Vigilio","piazza vecchia" ecc.

  • In my opinion the lakes zone of northen Italy is beautiful...

If you go to "lago di Garda" there are some beautiful cities that you can visit: Desenzano and Sirmione(the bests), or Lazzise, Limone and Salò....eh eh!

But why are you going to Gardaland? it's a relaxing day?

There is a beautiful city near it: Verona (also Venezia but it is farther than Verona from Gardaland).

  • Rome is a big(very very big)city, I have been there this summer.I have seen colosseum, altare della patria, piazza di Spagna, piazza Navona, fontana di Trevi, villa borghese ecc.

I hope for you that there will be fewer tourists than this summer :D

I'm sorry but I don't know(I have never been in) the other place...

I hope you will do a good trip :D!

    Hilsen!
