SEC conference a.k.a. The Boss Hogg Conference will find some way to cheat like oversigning players just to beat the Big Ten teams in bowl games. The irony is all the other Big Ten teams have a 20-17 record except OSU against them in twenty years. Scam Newton, Calipari, SEC oversigning, Alabama boosters and all the other SEC boosters are more crooked than all of Pryor's tattoos combined. SEC is the most crooked conference in college football and college basketball. NCAA = SEC duff kissers!

Thats a very strong stat. *Isn't OSU like 0-9 vs the SEC in bowl games? Hasn't the SEC won 4 NC's in a row and is playing for a 5th? Facts are facts I guess.
@knightguy11 I'm an OSU diehard and I can admit overall as a conference, the SEC is the best, hands down. OSU's 0-9 record in bowl games is a curse. It's not like they can't play with them, as they are 7-2 against SEC schools in Non-Con games. I think a major reason why the SEC does well against the Big Ten in bowl games is the locations that these games are played... SEC country. The matchups weren't that great this year w/ B-10 and SEC either. The only good ones were OSU-ARK, and FLA-PSU.
@fdrisgreat I disagree. Arkansas has major trouble with mobile QB's, and this will be Mallett's toughest test passing in a game as OSU has a great pass defense. It all depends on Tressel's decision to sit the 5 players for a QTR or Half. A QTR sit down, and OSU will be just fine, but a first half sit down would kill the Bucks. Or even better... No sit down. Yeah, the Big Ten got destoyed on Jan 1st, but look at the matchups. MSU was overrated, and Miss State only lost by 3... to Auburn!
@fdrisgreat I guess what I'm saying is that everyone knew Michigan State and Alabama was a complete mismatch. I knew immedietly that Bama would destroy MSU like Iowa did. Miss State has a much better team than Michigan. They lost by 3 to Auburn, and 7 to Arkansas. The only other two teams to beat them were Bama and LSU. Michigan is horrible, they were lucky to get to a bowl game. PSU-FLA sounded good, but Urban Meyer's last game gave them a boost. I think OSU will be okay.

Seriously, do you really think 7-5 Michigan deserved to play and 8-4 SEC team that lost by 3 to Auburn, 7 to ARK, and also lost to defending champs BAMA, and to LSU? Three out of four will wind up top 12 in the country. Michigan State could've easily lost 4 games this year... to mediochre opponents, but they won... just to get destroyed by Bama.

@spibuckeyefan1 Why the cursing and name calling?? I acknowledge OSU is a good team. Do they deserve to be ranked top 5 every year and play nobody.....no. OSU plays a 3 game schedule every year. They are a very good team in a very mediocre conference. I guess it's not their fault about that. Their conference schedule does not prepare them to play a NC game at the end of the year. An SEC schedule does prepare a team for a tough bowl game.

Their scheduling is questionable, seeing as how they try to schedule one big dog, and 3 patsies. If the Big dog they schedule has a down year, then it's OSU's fault that they scheduled them 8 years ago and they shouldn't have scheduled weak teams(Miami).

@knightguy11 Yes. And it's obviously true. Look at a Miss State team that went 8-4. They lost by 3 to Auburn and 7 to Arkansas. Their only other 2 losses came from Bama and LSU. They match them up with 7-5 Michigan? The same Michigan team that went 3-5 in conference play losing by 10 to Iowa and Penn St, 14 to Mich St, 20 to Wisc, and 30 to Ohio St? The same team only beat Indiana by 7, Umass by 5, and Illinios by 2, and they played in a Jan. 1st Bowl. Please... Nobody wanted to see that game!
@knightguy11 Look at the Bama-MSU game. Bama lost 3 games this year to Auburn(playing for a title), LSU(won the Cotton), and S. Carolina(SEC East champs). They easily handled a PSU team that almost beat Mich St. Mich St. only had one loss, but it was a 37-6 asswhooping against Iowa. They also had to come from behind late in the 4th QTR to beat 4-8 Purdue 35-31, and to beat Penn St 28-22. They didn't play Ohio State, and they caught Wisconsin sleeping early in the season. They weren't that good!

Vegas had them a 10 point favorite which was the 5th highest spread of any bowl game this season. You're right about the money, but they'll get that from any Big Ten school traveling down. Iowa would have been a better matchup with Bama than Michigan State. As for Michigan, 70% of America had them losing.

@spibuckeyefan1 The big bowls, Orange, Sugar, Rose, Fiesta, Cotton etc......are in the south. Pretty sure the Fiesta(Arizona), Rose(California) could care a less about the SEC. All they want is a good game with a fan base that travels. All I can say is a whole heartedly dissagree with you on this one. Georgia was favored over UCF in the Liberty....Georgia lost. South Carolina was favored....they lost. Tennessee was favored....they lost. I don't think I need to go on.
@knightguy11 You're right about nothing. Sugar, Orange, Capital One, Gator, and Outback are all in deep South SEC country. UCF and Florida State are in SEC country, and N. Carolina is right next door. All of these bowl matchups favor the SEC schools. Just because they lost has nothing to do with it. The Rose, favors the Pac 10. The Cotton, Texas, and Fiesta Bowls favor the Big XII. Hell, even the new Pinstripe Bowl favors the Big East, as it's played in New York.

@knightguy11 Amazingly the New Era PinStripe Bowl got Syracuse. Just like the Hawaii Bowl. Who normally goes there? Uhhh, Hawaii. Bowl committees look to find their closest relative to be in their bowl game, and could care less about the opponent for them.

Schedule mismatches with Big Ten schools that are quite obvious. They make money from all of the local SEC fans, get a good turnout of Big Ten travelers, then let the majority of SEC fans enjoy a beatdown on a weaker opponent A.K.A. Michigan/Miss St, and Mich St/Alabama.

@BrotherMichigan Not sure what you mean by that. There have been 13 BCS National Championship games and the SEC has won 7 of them. The Big Ten has 1 win(OSU 2002).

@knightguy11 The point being (and I guess your understimulated SEC brain didn't latch onto this fact) is that Big Ten teams, by virtue of placing two teams in BCS games pretty much every year, all get bumped up a spot in bowl matchups, leading to a consistently harder bowl scedule than any other conference.

@knightguy11 I can see what BrotherMichigan is saying as well. The Big Ten always send two teams to the BCS, allowing lower tier B-10 teams to climb the bowl ladder. But think about this. A good matchup is two good teams that can beat each other on any given day, right? AKA Patriots/Jets playoff game. A bad matchup is a one-sided affair. AKA Bama/MSU and MISS ST. Why would you invite a 7-5 UM team over a 7-5 Iowa team that beat UM at UM to play Miss St? That is a perfect point to what I'm sayin.

@fdrisgreat Wow! Calm down. The players made a mistake 2 years ago by selling their personal belongings. Tressel even told them after the suspension was dealt, that they would not be going to the Sugar Bowl, unless they came back to serve the suspension and pay back the money to charity. So far, all of the suspended players are honoring their deals with Coach Tress. The NCAA were the ones who didn't suspend the players for the bowl game, not Coach Tress. It was a good, legit win against the SEC!

You have to remember, they were pre-ranked at 11 to start the season and have a very strong defense w JJ Watt and Jay Valai. I think Alabama and Penn State was the only marquee non-con game for the SEC, and Penn State has an average football team this year. I'm not going to count Florida-Fla St because they play every year during rivalry week.
@megaladon1926 I didn't get to see much of the game, but I heard Arizona stuck it to Iowa early, then Iowa had to play catch-up. Iowa doesn't have an offensive style that can win from behind, unless their defense makes some plays to give them good field position. I also think Iowa's a little overrated. They belong in the top 25, but they're no top ten team. Same goes for Wisconsin. They barely beat the Sundevils at home, when they should have won by at least 14.

Second, no University on the planet would pay the 56th rated recruit shit to join their football team. @jmateen1 Well the only time they passed on us is when Tressel went conservative with that bull shit zone. The first half Tressel played lights defensive strategy. Tressel was just trying to keep everything in front of his defense. I was pissed off at Tressel but Miami fans need to be thanking him for not doing what so many others wuold have done and run up the score. I do not beleive there was much speed difference. Ohio State was just the better team and it showed.

The irony is all the other Big Ten teams have a 20-17 record except OSU against them in twenty years. @knightguy11 I'm an OSU diehard and I can admit overall as a conference, the SEC is the best, hands down. OSU's 0-9 record in bowl games is a curse. It's not like they can't play with them, as they are 7-2 against SEC schools in Non-Con games. I think a major reason why the SEC does well against the Big Ten in bowl games is the locations that these games are played... SEC country. The matchups weren't that great this year w/ B-10 and SEC either. The only good ones were OSU-ARK, and FLA-PSU.

@fdrisgreat I disagree. Arkansas has major trouble with mobile QB's, and this will be Mallett's toughest test passing in a game as OSU has a great pass defense. It all depends on Tressel's decision to sit the 5 players for a QTR or Half. A QTR sit down, and OSU will be just fine, but a first half sit down would kill the Bucks. Or even better... No sit down. Yeah, the Big Ten got destoyed on Jan 1st, but look at the matchups. MSU was overrated, and Miss State only lost by 3... to Auburn!

Miss State has a much better team than Michigan. They lost by 3 to Auburn, and 7 to Arkansas. The only other two teams to beat them were Bama and LSU. Michigan is horrible, they were lucky to get to a bowl game. PSU-FLA sounded good, but Urban Meyer's last game gave them a boost. I think OSU will be okay.

Seriously, do you really think 7-5 Michigan deserved to play and 8-4 SEC team that lost by 3 to Auburn, 7 to ARK, and also lost to defending champs BAMA, and to LSU? Three out of four will wind up top 12 in the country. Michigan State could've easily lost 4 games this year... to mediochre opponents, but they won... just to get destroyed by Bama.

@knightguy11 Yes. And it's obviously true. Look at a Miss State team that went 8-4. They lost by 3 to Auburn and 7 to Arkansas. Their only other 2 losses came from Bama and LSU. They match them up with 7-5 Michigan? The same Michigan team that went 3-5 in conference play losing by 10 to Iowa and Penn St, 14 to Mich St, 20 to Wisc, and 30 to Ohio St? The same team only beat Indiana by 7, Umass by 5, and Illinios by 2, and they played in a Jan. 1st Bowl. Please... Nobody wanted to see that game!

@knightguy11 Look at the Bama-MSU game. Bama lost 3 games this year to Auburn(playing for a title), LSU(won the Cotton), and S. Carolina(SEC East champs). They easily handled a PSU team that almost beat Mich St. Mich St. only had one loss, but it was a 37-6 asswhooping against Iowa. They also had to come from behind late in the 4th QTR to beat 4-8 Purdue 35-31, and to beat Penn St 28-22. They didn't play Ohio State, and they caught Wisconsin sleeping early in the season. They weren't that good!

Vegas had them a 10 point favorite which was the 5th highest spread of any bowl game this season. You're right about the money, but they'll get that from any Big Ten school traveling down. South Carolina was favored....they lost. Tennessee was favored....they lost. I don't think I need to go on.

@knightguy11 You're right about nothing. Sugar, Orange, Capital One, Gator, and Outback are all in deep South SEC country. UCF and Florida State are in SEC country, and N. Carolina is right next door. All of these bowl matchups favor the SEC schools. Just because they lost has nothing to do with it. The Rose, favors the Pac 10. The Cotton, Texas, and Fiesta Bowls favor the Big XII. Hell, even the new Pinstripe Bowl favors the Big East, as it's played in New York.

Schedule mismatches with Big Ten schools that are quite obvious. A good matchup is two good teams that can beat each other on any given day, right? AKA Patriots/Jets playoff game. A bad matchup is a one-sided affair. AKA Bama/MSU and MISS ST. Why would you invite a 7-5 UM team over a 7-5 Iowa team that beat UM at UM to play Miss St? That is a perfect point to what I'm sayin.

Tressel even told them after the suspension was dealt, that they would not be going to the Sugar Bowl, unless they came back to serve the suspension and pay back the money to charity. So far, all of the suspended players are honoring their deals with Coach Tress. The NCAA were the ones who didn't suspend the players for the bowl game, not Coach Tress. It was a good, legit win against the SEC!

You have to remember, they were pre-ranked at 11 to start the season and have a very strong defense w JJ Watt and Jay Valai. Also, offensively, that 1-2 punch of Clay and White; power speed and speed power; is another reason behind it. They weren't picked second; next to only osu; to win the Big Ten for nothin.

LSU got through playing McNeese St. Alabama played SJSU and Florida played Miami of Ohio. All teams play cupcakes thats how the cupcakes get paid. And I always respected the fans down here.

@megaladon1926 I didn't get to see much of the game, but I heard Arizona stuck it to Iowa early, then Iowa had to play catch-up. Iowa doesn't have an offensive style that can win from behind, unless their defense makes some plays to give them good field position. I also think Iowa's a little overrated. They belong in the top 25, but they're no top ten team. Same goes for Wisconsin. They barely beat the Sundevils at home, when they should have won by at least 14.

Second, no University on the planet would pay the 56th rated recruit shit to join their football team. Tressel does have a pipeline in recruiting in Florida and pulls players out of the State left and right, but it's more for the quality of academics, prestige, and OSU's ability to produce professional athletes. Tressel was just trying to keep everything in front of his defense. I was pissed off at Tressel but Miami fans need to be thanking him for not doing what so many others wuold have done and run up the score. I do not beleive there was much speed difference. Ohio State was just the better team and it showed.
