I did get the phone back together. And even though the slider now sounds like I'm crushing cockroaches inside the phone, the keyboard does work a lot better. But that didn't help the dead area of the touchscreen (bottom left). Having suffered through this malfunctioning since April of this year, it is clear when I watch these videos that my mind is pretty much gone. I love webOS, but am now (since the 23rd of August) the owner of an iPhone 4. It ain't webOS, but it's cool in its own right.

So I am about at the same place you are with your phones keyboard.. I am wondering did you get it put back together and does it work any better?
